1. Log In to Provisioning
In this class, all students will be sharing one Provisioning account. The log in
credentials for this Provisioning account were provided by your instructor via
email prior to the start of this course. If you do not have these credentials,
please reach out to your instructor.

C. Make sure that the Language Pack checkbox is selected, and that
English US (English US) is checked.
D. Scroll up near the top and click Save Feature to save your changes
3. Enable v12 UI Framework and Admin 2.0
V12 is the new user interface for the SuccessFactors application. Before starting
to work within an instance, you need to verify that this has been set up correctly.
When looking for these features in Provisioning, use the search feature of your
browser by pressing Ctrl+F on your keyboard.

If you see a list of administrative options, click the link that says, “You are using
legacy admin tools. Click here to switch to the enhanced admin tools”.
A. One by one, log in to the training instance as each user. The default
password for all users is TRGP123.
B. Upon first log in, you will be prompted to change each user password.
Please change each password to password (all lower case).

2. Complete RBP process
A. Save all changes, and log out of the system. Please keep in mind it can
take up to 20 minutes for the system to take care of all your permission
assignments.
B. The next time you log in to the system, test out some of the roles that
you created an assigned to verify everything is functioning as it should.
C. After setting up RBP, you may assign proxies in three different ways:
I. Referencing the USER ID of your proxy (person with access to
another user’s account) in the “Proxy” column of the User Data File
for individual employees (the account holder). Keep in mind this will
grant all proxy permissions to every module the account holder has
access to.
II. When logged in as the Super Admin, navigate to Admin Tools
Proxy Management Assign proxies one-by-one (this also
allows more control over which modules you want to grant access to
for the proxy).
III. When logged in as the Super Admin, navigate to Options Menu
Proxy Assign Proxy (also allows control over which modules
you want to grant access to for the proxy).

2. Goal Management
In this exercise, you will access Goal Management as an end user to practice
adding new goals, cascading goals, and maintaining goals.

the 1 and the space. Save as: objective-template_4_0.dtd.

Edit global settings on the most recent copy of the goal plan template
Edit additional global settings that are expressed as attributes under the
<obj-plan-template> element
• Each goal plan template must have a unique plan ID. The
system only looks at Plan ID when making changes in the
instance and Provisioning. If the template does not have the
correct plan ID, an existing template may be overwritten (and
that cannot be undone).
II. Set the plan start and due dates so that they are the first and last
days of the current year. (Configuration workbook lines 31 & 32)
III. Make sure the <obj-plan-name> is “GM Mastery”. (Configuration
workbook line 4)
IV. Update the template in the instance, and test to make sure all
changes have been made.

2. Create table
The changes are listed in the configuration workbook, starting on line 42.
A. Create a new field called “Milestones” with the following parameters:
o ID = milestones
o Type = table
o Required = false
B. For this field, your customer has handed you a paper version of the old
goal plan. You need to replicate the layout of the Milestones table from
this old plan into the new plan.
C. If using XML, save and validate your changes, but do not update the
instance.

that all references to this field have been deleted from the layout.

2. Configure fields in the performance form
Use the information from the module and the configuration guide to make
the changes requested below. These changes are listed in the
configuration workbook under “Additional Notes”.
Special Note: This section, while configured in the goal plan template,
dictates how information appears in the performance management form.
Therefore, you will not be able to test this configuration until we have
created a performance form, later in the course.
A. Arrange the columns in the following order from left to right:
o Goal Name, Goal Descriptions, Milestones, Custom
o Metric/Target, Start Date, Due Date

D. Turn on the Request Update link for the EM+ role.1.5 The Goal
Execution fields should not appear in the goal plan; however, they will
appear in the goal edit box. Make sure they are showing in the order
you would like them to appear.
