What is Values?

In ethics and social sciences, value denotes the degree of importance of

something or action, with the aim of determining which actions are best
to do or what way is best to live (normative ethics in ethics), or to describe
the significance of different actions.
Values are individual beliefs that motivate people to act one way or
another. They serve as a guide for human behavior.
What are examples of values?
Examples of values include honesty, integrity, kindness, generosity,
courage, and confidence. These values help individuals determine what is

Personal Values are “broad desirable goals that motivate people's actions
and serve as guiding principles in their lives". Everyone has values, but
each person has a different value set. These differences are affected by an
individual's culture, personal upbringing, life experiences, and a range of other
influences
What is an example of personal values?
Personal values are how you differentiate between “good” and “bad” in your
community, culture, or society. They're what you view as the ideal standards of
behavior, like patience and honesty. You probably have some guiding
principles in your life that inform your decision making, goal setting, and
overall disposition.

Personal values are the things that are important to us, the characteristics
and behaviours that motivate us and guide our decisions. For example, maybe
you value honesty. You believe in being honest wherever possible and you
think it's important to say what you really think.
Moral values play an essential role in any student's life. They help build a
positive character with traits such as compassion, respect, kindness, and
humility. They can make students distinguish between right and wrong or
good and bad.
Ethical value denotes something's degree of importance, with the aim of
determining what action or life is best to do, or at least attempt to
describe the value of different actions.
How can you be an ethical or moral person?

A lawyer's morals may tell her that murder is reprehensible and that
murderers should be punished, but her ethics as a professional lawyer, require
her to defend her client to the best of her abilities, even if she knows that the
client is guilty.

What is social value in simple words?

Social values are a set of principles that are morally acceptable by society.
These principles are created by the dynamics of the community, institutions in
the society, traditions, and cultural beliefs of the people in the society. The
laws are a guide for people in society on how to conduct themselves
appropriately
Social values reflect how we relate to society. Social values include justice,
freedom, respect, community, and responsibility.

In today’s world, it may seem our society doesn’t practice many values. We
have a rise in discrimination, abuse of power, greed, etc.

So, in short, social value is about respecting people, listening to them, and

using the insights to optimize value for both people and the plane; social value
is about being more accountable to those people whose lives are affected; and
social value is about making better decisions on how we allocate our
resource.
Why are aesthetic values important?
Simply put, aesthetics make us happy. On an emotional level they elicit
feelings of happiness and calm. They connect us to our ability to reflect on and
appreciate the world around us which in turn gives us feelings of contentment
and hope.

Aesthetic value is a judgment of value based on the appearance of an object

and the emotional responses it evokes. While it is difficult to objectively assess
aesthetic value, it often becomes an important determining factor in overall
value; things people perceive as attractive tend to be in higher demand, and
will cost more than comparable objects without the aesthetic component.
What are aesthetic values examples?
Many of its definitions include the idea that an object is beautiful if perceiving
it is accompanied by aesthetic pleasure. Among the examples of beautiful
objects are landscapes, sunsets, humans and works of art. Beauty is a
positive aesthetic value that contrasts with ugliness as its negative
counterpart.
