of Health and Family Welfare is an Autonomous / Apex Technical Institute funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for promoting Health and Family Welfare Programmes in the country through Education & Training, Research & Evaluation, specialized services, consultancy and advisory service. The Office of Registrar General of India (ORGI) is carrying out an Annual Health Survey (AHS) funded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and NIHFW has been engaged by ORGI as the nodal Agency for the Clinical, Anthropometric, and Biochemical Assessment (CAB) component of the AHS with a view to coordinate the timely execution of the deliverables by the seven partner institutions which includes NIHFW. The Project has vacancies for certain posts of contractual staff as per details given below. Sr. No. 1. Name of the Essential Qualification post Supervisor / M.Sc. Stats/ Demography / Biostats / Assistant Maths / Geography with excellent Coordinator knowledge of statistical packages like SPSS / STATA Lab Supervisor DMLT with 2-3 years experience especially in work on nutritional surveys or similar research projects Lab Assistant 1. DMLT / BMLT Desirable: 1-2 years work experience in a laboratory after diploma/degree 2. B.Sc Home Science/M.Sc. Home Science/Diploma in Nursing/ANM training Computer Graduate with Diploma course in Assistant / Data Computer Application / BCA Entry Operator Desirable: 2-3 years experience No. of posts 2 Emoluments Rs. 20000-22000 (Consolidated)

Duration:
Appointment will be initially for a period up to 6 months extendable further based upon performance and subject to project continuation upto 8th months. The posts are co-terminus with the project.

Date of Interview for the shortlisted candidates will be intimated in the Institutes website after 15th July, 2011. Note: Mere fulfilling the essential qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for an interview. Applicants, if called for an interview would have to made travel arrangements at their own cost. Number of posts may be changed.
