Operational Definition of Terms

This section presents the operational definition of terms that can help the reader
further understand the study.

Electronically. Using or involving an electronic device: electronically generated graphics.

Digitally. In a way that uses or relates to digital signals and computer technology: Sound and
pictures can be stored digitally. All outgoing calls will be digitally recorded.

Digital Technology Is electronic tools, systems, devices, and resources that generate, store, or
process data.

Internet. Through the Internet, people can share information and communicate from anywhere
with an Internet connection.

Admin. The one in charge of monitoring and reconciling accounts, and has access to all of the
barangay's critical information files.

Staff. Staff that has access to and control within just the server-side services, particularly in
Barangay Culiat.

Client. Residents that use the system.

Web-Based System. Is an application that is accessed via HTTP. The term web-based is usually
used to describe applications that run in a web browser.

HTTP. Hypertext Transfer (or Transport) Protocol, is the data transfer protocol used on the
World Wide Web.
Graphical user interface. Is a user interface that uses icons, menus, and other visual indications
or representations to allow users to interact with electronic devices such as computers and
smartphones.

Sublime Text. Is a text editor for windows. It is a great tool to use when writing code, writing in
markdown or writing in any other text-based format. It has a lot of features that allow you to edit
quickly and efficiently.

Visual Studio Codes. . Visual Studio Code is a free editor that helps the programmer write code,
helps in debugging, and corrects the code using the intelli-sense method. In normal terms, it
facilitates users to write the code in an easy manner.

Microsoft Edge. Is an internet browser made by Microsoft, which is installed by default on all
new Windows computers.

Microsoft Office 2019. Office 2019 is the latest version of Microsoft's productivity software
that's available as a one-time purchase from a retail store or through a volume licensing
agreement.

Windows 10 Operating System. Was created by Microsoft to provide a more personal

computing experience across a variety of devices. This is an experience that is optimized for
each device type while remaining familiar to all users.

Google Chrome. Is a web browser released by Google in 2008. This relatively new browser
competes with other major browsers such as proprietary Microsoft Internet Explorer and
freeware designs like Mozilla Firefox.

MySQL. MySQL is an open source relational database management system (RDBMS) with a
client-server model. RDBMS is a software or service used to create and manage databases based
on a relational model.
