Learning Commitment Form

To ensure a quality experience in teaching and learning, the teacher, and the student of
this course whose names and signatures are found below agree to the following terms:
1. eLearning Community. You must join a class on Google Classroom and a Group
Chat on Messenger which is created for your section. You must use your complete
name (Family Name, First Name) and must bear a formal/decent profile photo. You
are not allowed to use nicknames and multiple accounts. This is to ensure that the
group chat, the class, you, and your instructors are safe from unwelcomed
intrusion and to protect data privacy.
2. Required Synchronous Sessions and Regular Synchronous Sessions. You are
enjoined in the eight (8) Required Synchronous Sessions for lecture, review,
consultation, feedbacking, and monitoring. There will also be a regular
synchronous session to be conducted weekly for the purpose of having recorded
discussions. You must join these synchronous sessions so that you will not miss
graded synchronous activities which are part of the performance tasks which is 40%
of your overall grade.
3. Strict Observance of Deadlines. All activities and deadlines in this class are
already set at the beginning of the semester so that you can work according to your
own learning pace. However, you are expected to manage your time (heutagogical
approach). Late submission will not be accepted unless the reason is valid, such as
in emergencies and other life or death situations. Please avoid procrastination at
all times to ensure that you will have the chance to obtain a high-performance
rating.
4. Contact Schedules. You may ask questions in our Messenger Group Chat anytime at
all but understand and respect that your instructor reserves the right to respond at
his/her most convenient time, especially if it is not during class hours.
5. Spamming. To ensure that important messages are read easily, you must avoid
spamming (excessive multiple posting of a message). Read through the whole
thread to find out if there is already an answer to the question you want to ask.
Also, keep in mind to keep your content clean and appropriate.
6. Business Letter. If you have questions outside the consultation and feedbacking
schedule, you are encouraged to use the proper way of sending a message to your
instructor. Please refer to eLearning Rules and Decorum for more details (Module
1-D of the GE 1 Course Manual).

7. Plagiarism. Plagiarism is an offense that generally strikes at two important values
of education- the value of individual work and respect for others’ intellectual
property. If you are caught copying someone’s work without acknowledgment, that
output will automatically be given a 5.0 grade.
8. Confidentiality. In adherence to the Data Privacy Act of the Philippines, you are
expected to refrain from sharing your own personal and sensitive information,
personal information of your classmates, and other people on social media
platforms without formal consent. This refers to student ID numbers, birthdays,
test materials, test results, grades, outputs, and the like. All information within
this course’s discussions and submissions should be treated with the utmost
confidentiality.
