Performance Task: Creating Your Own Expressionist Artwork


Expressionism is one of the world’s most beautiful styles of painting. Expressionism gives
the artists the ability to show the world what they are thinking. Being able to express oneself
through art is the true path to artistic freedom.
Materials:

 ¼ illustration board
 Tubes of acrylic paints or its equivalent
 Paintbrushes
 Pencil
 Rags for clean up
Procedure:
1. Decide on the design or theme of your painting.
2. Using a pencil, sketch in the general design on the illustration board.
3. Apply the paints to your design with the brush; apply any painting techniques of expressionism
art.
4. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly before handling or displaying the finished artwork.
