We, the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration students are conducted a one-day activity
last August 9, 2022 which we are going to set a place or venue for selling of our products. The venue was
in San Francisco, Iriga City near Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). Our group decided that the product we
are going to sell are bread rolls and softdrinks. The first thing that we did was to prepare our budgetary
requirements for our products. Each of us contributed the amount of Php 117.50 and the other expenses
are shouldered by the group as a counterpart in order to less our expenses. I and one of my groupmate are
being tasked to buy the ingredients and other needed materials, while the others, are being tasked to
cooked the bread rolls and to prepared as well the materials that we are going to use. The main
ingredients of our bread rolls are two loaves of sliced bread, bread crumbs for coating, hotdog and cheese
as filling or dressing and cooking oil. We also bought 4 bottles of softrdinks with 1.5L each as additional
to our product.
The prepared raw bread rolls were being deep fried and strained. We cooked almost 50 pieces of
bread rolls coming from two loaves of sliced bread. After we finished cooking, we are moved on
preparing and set-up of the table and other needed materials in front of one of my groupmate’s house. The
bread rolls transferred and arranged to other plate to become presentable along with the cups, paper bags,
bottle of softdrinks and cracked ice. The price of each bread roll is worth 15 pesos and a cup of softdrinks
is worth 10 pesos. After preparing, we are decided to launch our mini-store for selling our products
around nine o’clock in morning. We also conducted a little marketing strategy which we going to invite
those residents who are passing by over our store. There are lots of customer who tried and bought our
bread rolls and a cup of softdrinks and the feedback from them is very flattering because they said that
our bread rolls is in good taste.
After we sold all the products, we gained approximately Php 1,150.00, less the capital of Php
470.00, we have atleast Php 680.00 as our profit on the said product. It is very tiring but on the other side,
it was very happy because we made it and all of our products are being bought even the last drop of
softdrinks. We almost done around one o’clock in the afternoon because our product is just limited only
for 50 pieces and we have no product to be sell on. We also kept all the things we used and wash the
plates and food containers. We are very glad that we experienced this such thing and we also learned on
how to manage small-scale business with all of our patience and perseverance and on how to make
marketing strategy in order to easily sold out our products.
Our experience on it may not enough because this only a one-day activity but it leaves a lot of
learnings and strategies in order to made it closer to such a true one. Even we have only limited resources
on it, we successfully covered all our expenses to maintain our products safe, delicious and demandable.
After the activity, we also decided to equally divided our profit into four with at least Php 170.00 each of
us in order to give back the capital and expenses that are being incurred. All of us was very amazed
because our contributions worth Php 117.50 was increased with additional Php 52.50 and not very bad as
a newbie. We also very thankful to Mrs. Francia N. Dimaiwat for giving us the opportunity to have this
kind of activity and to experience as being entrepreneurs.
