Directions: Read and follow the instructions below for the activity. (100 points)

1. After forming the group, think of a cultural artifact. This could be any object or material (such as music),
both used in the past and present.

2. Create a PowerPoint presentation using the following format:

a. Title Slide – this slide must contain the names of the group members

b. Artifact – this slide will contain the group’s chose object (or artifact), and a short description of
it.

c. Sociofact – this slide will contain your group’s interpretation of how the artifact is used by
society, how people organize their society, and relate to one another.

d. Mentifact – this slide will contain your group’s interpretation of the ideas, beliefs, and values
that people hold or associate to the artifact.

e. Educational Impact – this slide must contain your interpretation of how the mentifact is applied
to the course you are currently taking.

3. Your group will only be given a maximum of three (3) minutes to present your work.

4. Your presentation will be graded using the rubric below:
