ABOUT CSI, WHO WE ARE

INTRODUCTION
Strong and long-lasting organizations are built when extensive professional experience merges with the
ambition of active professional youth. That is when Commissioning Services International Company, CSI
became the real manifestation of its motto “Converting Energy to Synergy”.
Since its start in 2004 in Istanbul, CSI name became the vision of its founders to be the extension of their
successful MEP construction business by handling many prestigious projects in both MENA and Central
Asia after its planned breakthrough in 2015.
CSI new partners and founders have been owners, managers and directors of long-lasting successful
companies in the field of MEP Contracting and Commissioning in Turkey and GCC before unifying their
vision in CSI developed venture.
Aided by their experiences in managing many large projects and representing the commissioning teams
of their previous esteemed companies, CSI managers and key staff developed the optimum solutions to
provide the engineering support and high standard commissioning services to CSI clients.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MESSAGE

It is always the target of the board members of CSI to be of a big value in all the projects CSI is participating
in. CSI was built to brand an excellent engineering service and to deliver the highest standard outcome. CSI
will be always a partner of value, not only a team member, in all the projects dealing with its prestigious and
professional business partners and clients. We believe in partnership to deliver, we are target-oriented, we
trust our abilities and professionalism, we know Commissioning Management.

2
ABOUT CSI, WHO WE ARE

THE IDEA, HOW CSI STARTED

With an active Commissioning Management Department of CSI
mother company, MEGA MEP, and successful commissioning
handling of prestigious projects since the 1990s, CSI first came to
light in 2004 on a small-scale basis to serve as its mother company’s
projects MEP Commissioning Management team.
CSI Founders and partners were friends and Co-workers in their own CSI OPERATION STARTED IN
different companies and positions since 2000 and through 2010. It ISTANBUL TO HANDLE ITS
was in 2010 when another breakthrough happened when a new MOTHER COMPANY WORKS
generation of ambitious staff and coworkers met working together IN 2004
in New Doha International Airport project that the ambitious
idea and dream of an engineering company dedicated to MEP CSI INTERNATIONAL
Commissioning Management with high caliber staff emerged. With OPERATION IS AN
their dedicated and intensive experience in Construction Field, INTEGRATED RESULT OF ITS
Testing and Balancing (TAB) and Commissioning Management, they
FOUNDERS’ AND AMBITIOUS
knew what it takes to make a brand of an excellent organization
PARTNERS DIVERSIFIED
EXPERIENCES SINCE 2015
For the following years, different approaches, merges with other companies and trials were made to initiate
this goal. During their previous experiences ranged, by then, from 10 to 35 years of diversified experiences,
they built an integrated approach for a company that covers the market, clients and contractors’ needs.
The idea of Commissioning Management has been always that of a third party certifying the works carried
out by the Contractor. That created a big gap in the needs, quality and outcome of the process that
resulted in having the Commissioning Specialist/Agency with no added value and becoming only a witness
to the process.
The idea of CSI Board of Directors was always to fill the gap between the construction team and owners’
representatives and cover the handing over process needs. This idea of the approach is applied by leading
the Commissioning Management process and team members as partners not witnesses, to deliver the
systems following the standard template and using the software(s) created by long experienced staff
tailored to the needs of each project and to represent and become the focal point of contact of the
Commissioning Team(s) in each level CSI is involved in.
In order to apply the vision, integrated trust with esteemed clients and business partners in the
construction field would have been established. This trust is based on the proven successful experience
and the excellent services CSI is providing.

starting from defining the clients Project Requirements and ending with deferred handover, close and
Documentation
LEED Commissioning
The commissioning process is a highly effective method to improve the performance of building systems
and equipment. Coincidentally, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards have
the same goal of improving building performance. CSI as a commissioning agent have vast LEED knowledge
that will help project teams to meet the requirements of the required project LEED Certification earning
points toward an even higher LEED. CSI individuals have achieved LEED accreditation demonstrated
inclusive knowledge of green building technologies and strategies aimed at improving energy savings,
water efficiency, indoor air quality, and CO2 emissions
Commissioning Verification & Validation
Verification & validation is the combined activities of two independent steps.
Verifying that the Cx process has been completed to the best practice performance standards in the
industry, and validating the planning, design and operations of the facility to ensure it was designed and
built as planned and is fit for intended use.
CSI has the higher levels of expertise as well as the professional and technical background of engineers
who are well-versed in the type of facility and systems being designed, verified and validated.
Retro Commissioning
Retro commissioning, or “existing building commissioning,” is a systematic process for identifying and
implementing operational and maintenance improvements in a building to ensure continued good
performance over time.
Depending on the age of the building, retro commissioning can often resolve problems that occurred
during design or construction, or address problems that have developed throughout the building’s life. In
all, retro commissioning improves a building’s operations and maintenance (O&M) procedures to enhance
overall building performance.
CSI has the experienced and qualified commissioning team who can make retro commissioning for any
building addressing all kind of problems related to systems performance and design.
Close Out Documentation
The handover of a project to the client at the end of construction is a very important stage of the project
procurement process and facility operation success. A well organized, efficient and effective transfer of
information from project works to the Project is essential.

CSI SERVICES, WHAT WE DO

TESTING SERVICES
HVAC Testing Adjusting Balancing
The building construction industry is experiencing a major growth in demand for experienced and certified
testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) contractors who can balance today’s complex HVAC systems.
The purpose of testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) is to assure that an HVAC system is providing
maximum occupational comfort at the lowest energy cost possible. Hands on of the Testing, Adjusting and
Balancing works for both the air and hydronic systems is the most important aspect of the overall process
of Testing & Commissioning for HVAC systems.
CSI provides a comprehensive TAB service to clients for all types of development, with highly experienced
staff and a full range of calibrated instruments.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

CSI can provide an indoor air quality assessment that will instigate good environmental management of

tests or supervise the test carried by others and submit test report, CSI team will ensure all electrical
installation and appliances are fully compliant with the standards and regulations after successfully testing

Thermal Imaging Test

An infrared camera shows exactly where the problems are and helps focus the inspectors’ attention allowing
him or her to properly diagnose areas with energy loss. This strategy saves considerable amount of time
that would have otherwise been spent and lost in identifying the problems. Thus Infrared thermography
is the easiest and quickest method to detect energy waste, moisture and electrical issues in buildings.
Through thermal imaging CSI Engineers locate and identify electrical/mechanical equipment with
hotspots

Building Envelope (Building Tightness)

Due to the increased interest in high-performance buildings, more attention is being paid to how envelope
assemblies affect interior comfort and energy performance.
CSI is able to carry out effective commissioning of building envelope assemblies including air intrusion,
water intrusion, and thermal intrusion
