Improvementof Transient Stability Using Avr, Governor and Pss For A Real Time Industrial System

This document summarizes research on improving transient stability in a real-world power system using an automatic voltage regulator (AVR), governor, and power system stabilizer (PSS). The study analyzes a model of an industrial power plant to verify stable operating conditions. Simulation results show that a PSS is effective at damping low frequency oscillations to enhance stability over a wide range of system conditions. The performance of different PSS types are evaluated to determine the most suitable design for the operating point of the system. Real operating data from an Indian power plant is implemented in simulations to validate the findings.
