CVC functionality index
The H&PWD has collected data on 7 key indicators to gauge the performance of CVCs across South Punjab. The
index below describes the metrics gauged within each indicator

Indicator Description Weightage

Basic facility Availability and functionality of basic inputs like utilities, back-up power, security
functionality guards, parking facility, access to washrooms at an operational CVC 10%

Waiting area Availability of appropriate waiting space, optimal lighting & temperature, display of 13%
functionality signs & guidelines and compliance to COVID SOPs

Screening area Availability of screening counters, essential inputs required at the counters and 20%
functionality recording & reporting of clients' vitals and medical history

Registration area Establishment of registration counters, availability of essential inputs, compliance 15%
functionality to required data systems and display of relevant signs

Vaccine administration Establishment of vaccine administration counters, availability of vaccine, ILR(s) & 20%
functionality other essential inputs and display of signs

Waste management Establishment of vaccine administration counters, availability of essential inputs 7%

BASIC FACILITY FUNCTIONALITY


The following data is collected by designated SHNS' using the CVC monitoring application. All data pertains only to the COVID Vaccination
Centers that were visited by the monitors. This index explains how the data presented is calculated:

CVC operationality percentage of CVCs that were open during functional shifts

Security provision percentage of CVCs where at least one security guard was present

Provision of token percentage of CVCs that had issued tokens to clients waiting to get vaccinated

Back-up power availability percentage of CVCs that had back-up power at all client touch points

Parking facility availability percentage of CVCs that had space for parking of vehicles

Access to functional toilets percentage of CVCs that had separate toilets for men and women

Duty roster availability percentage of CVCs that had an updated duty roster displayed in the facility

Designated helpline number percentage of CVCs that had displayed their own helpline numbers

Accessibility for disabled percentage of CVCs where disabled clients could access vaccination services

WAITING AREA FUNCTIONALITY  


The following data is collected by designated SHNS' using the CVC monitoring application. All data pertains only to the COVID Vaccination
Centers that were visited by the monitors. This index explains how the data presented is calculated:

Waiting area availability percentage of CVCs that had a designated waiting area
Display of signs percentage of CVCs that had clearly displayed signs to guide clients to the waiting area

Waiting area capacity percentage of CVCs where <= 60% of the chairs/seats were occupied

Gender segregation percentage of CVCs that had clearly segregated waiting spaces for men and women

COVID-19 SOPs compliance percentage of CVCs where compliance to COVID-19 SOPs had been ensured in the waiting area

Display of guidelines percentage of CVCs that had clearly displayed updated official guidelines for vaccine eligibility

Optimal lighting & temperature percentage of CVCs that had optimal lighting & temperature

Water dispenser availability percentage of CVCs that had at least one potable water dispenser/cooler
