Discovery Phase Proposal for

1.0 OVERVIEW
Company is a provider of a variety of products and resources for their customer base in web and mobile technology space. Company would like to begin a new development effort to create a Drupal based web portal for Client To ensure What is IN and OUT of project scope and To Ensure Technical Oversight Discovery Phase has been proposed. The purpose of the Discovery phase is to define project scope at a high level, UI Design, provide an estimate for the Development phase along with a detailed project roadmap in terms of time and money. This data will be used to obtain project approval and an initial budget. It is understood that these estimates may be refined as business requirements are further evolved. We shall be able to capture them as scope additions.

2.0 DELIVERABLES
We will complete tasks during the Design phase in preparation for development. This exercise will include: A high level scope of requirements for the application captured as screen flow for each functional item of the proposed website.

A prioritized list of system requirements A project roadmap UATs for the key features UI design templates for the Home page and for other key features of the website. Technical proof of concept exercises to mitigate development risks for the entire project

3.0 PROJECT SCOPE


As informed, the new portal will include the following components and features: Faculty and Advisors (Dynamic, option to admin manage) Curriculums (various programs) Who should Apply (static FAQ`s) Application Process (+ form) On going mentoring Program (like events) Events (similar to SVASE events) Partners FAQ Blog Videos (youtube embeds) Case Studies

This discovery phase shall review and outline all the above listed features. During conversations, there might be changes in the feature list which shall be captured as a duly signed addendum to this document.

4.0 OUT OF SCOPE


Anything which is not listed in the 3.0 shall be termed as Out of Scope and discovery phase shall not spend time and effort on them, unless there is an addendum.

5.0 BUDGET
Project Manager: Business Analyst: UI Designer:

All time in Discovery Phase will be billed in a time and materials basis based on actual hours worked. This estimate does not constitute a fixed price bid. All hours in the proposal to follow after the discovery phase will be estimates based on our conversation with client personnel involved with this project. These estimates may evolve as we engage and learn more about the actual work to be done. Proposal for fixed price bid is a certain possibility once we have captured the idea and laid it down on screen workflow document as approved by client. Should it be determined that any estimate is discovered to be substantially different than anticipated, this will be immediately communicated and an appropriate plan agreed upon.
