CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

- IT represents the researcher’s synthesis of literature on how to explain a phenomenon.


- Researcher’s understanding of how particular variables in his study connect with each other.
- It serves as a map or rudder that will guide you towards the realizing the objectives.
- A conception or model of what is out there that you plan to study.

Where should the CF be written?

- Written after literature review.

Difference of CF and TF?

- TF in a study is based on an existing theory or theories. The CF is something you can develop
yourself based on this theory.

STEPS IN CREATING A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

1. Study your topic.


TOPIC: How parents of the CICL and social workers work together for the success of
rehabilitation of the CICL.

2. Create a thesis statement. A thesis statement that represents the idea of the research.
THESIS STATEMENT:
Parental involvement is widely recognized as a crucial consideration in the rehabilitation of the
CICL. However, there are still challenges in maintaining a good relationship between parents and
social workers.

3. Identify the concepts involved in the study.

4. Relate each concepts (arrows, connections)
