1. COMPLIANCE
Optional: Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin is at the owner’s option.

Note: SR20 Serial Numbers 1005 thru 1592 and SR22 Serial Numbers 0002 thru 1727: Airworthi-
ness Directive AD 2006-21-03 must be complied with prior to installation of this Service Bul-
letin.

2. EFFECTIVITY
Cirrus Design SR20 serial numbers 1005 thru 2030.
Cirrus Design SR22 serial numbers 0002 thru 3450.
3. APPROVAL
FAA approval has been obtained on all technical data in this Service Bulletin that affects type design.
4. PURPOSE
This Service Bulletin installs a second Brake Temperature Indicator (sticker) that employs a lower temper-
ature activation threshold.
Installation of the lower temperature sticker will allow for the extension of the brake assembly o-ring replace-
ment interval from the current 100-Hours interval to an On Condition, Recommended 5-Year interval.
5. DESCRIPTION
This Service Bulletin installs a second brake temperature sticker and temporary revisions to the Airplane
Maintenance Manual and Pilot’s Operating Handbook.
6. WARRANTY INFORMATION
Part and labor costs for this Service Bulletin are at the owner’s expense.
7. MANPOWER REQUIREMENTS
0.5 man-hour.

11. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS

A. Acquire necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.

Description P/N or Spec. Supplier Purpose

Isopropyl Alcohol TT-I-735 Grade A or B Any Source Clean

Cotton Cloth (clean and lint free) - Any Source Clean

B. Remove key from ignition.

C. Set BAT 1, BAT 2, and AVIONICS switches to OFF positions.
D. Remove wheel fairings from main landing gear. (Refer to AMM 32-10)
E. Clean dirt and oil from brake caliper piston housing.
F. Inspect existing temperature sticker (blue) for security and condition. Replace if necessary.
G. Install second temperature sticker (yellow).
(1) Serials with Single Piston Caliper; Using isopropyl alcohol, solvent clean installation location
slightly above piston housing and surrounding area. (Refer to AMM 20-30)
(2) Serials with Dual Piston Caliper; Using isopropyl alcohol, solvent clean installation location on
upper brake caliper piston housing and surrounding area. (Refer to AMM 20-30)
(3) Remove paper backing from temperature sticker, then press indicator firmly to installation loca-
tion on brake caliper assembly.
(4) Repeat on opposite side.
H. Install wheel fairings to main landing gear. (Refer to AMM 32-10)
I. SR20 serial numbers 1005 thru 2030;
(1) Install POH Temporary Revisions TPOH_08-07 and TPOH_08-08.
(2) Install AMM Temporary Revisions 20AMM_TR_05-10-02, 20AMM_TR_05-20-01,
20AMM_TR_05-21-01, 20AMM_TR_32-42-01, and 20AMM_TR_32-42-03.
J. SR22 serial numbers 0002 thru 3450.
(1) Install POH Temporary Revisions TPOH_08-05 and TPOH_08-06.
(2) Install AMM Temporary Revisions 22AMM_TR_05-10-02, 22AMM_TR_05-20-01,
22AMM_TR_05-21-02, 22AMM_TR_32-42-01, and 22AMM_TR_32-42-03.
K. Complete airplane records by noting compliance with SB 2X-05-01 in Aircraft Logbook.
