    In English 3
    I. Objectives

    At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:

    a. Define what is homonyms


    b. Participate the activity by teamwork and sportsmanship
    c. Write at least 10 example oof homonyms

    II. Subject Manner


     Topic: Homonyms
     Reference: Making meaning in “alfro-asian lit III” by Joyce Mendez et.al(pp-76)
    And ‘applied grammar and composing strategies for success” by E. wanaree
     Materials: Laptop (PowerPoint presentation) pictures, activity sheets. Strips of paper,
    scotch tape

    III. Procedures
    a. Preparatory
     Prayer
     Greetings
     Attendance

    A. Motivation
    1. The teacher will divide his/her students into two groups, and each group member will
    get a strip of a paper given by the teacher and read what is written on it.
    2. The students will go in front and look for the meaning of the given question and post it
    on the board.
    3. The group who finished it first is the winner.

    B. Discussion
    1. The teacher discusses the homonyms
    2. The teacher read the words clearly and ask what they observe about the word flash on
    the tv screen.
    3. The teacher will evaluate their works if it’s done

    C. Drill/Practice
    1. The teacher will give each students a homonyms flashcard and scotch tape then ask
    them to tape it on their uniform
    2. The student will find their matching homonyms and if they done, they will announce the
    words and they will spell it and give the meaning

    D. Generalization/abstraction
     What are homonyms?
     Give example of homonym.

    IV. Evaluation
    Choose at least 5 (five) homonyms in the box and write a sentence using the chosen box.
