1. Social significance presents business seenorio. Social responsibility and


increasing importance are being given to driving the function of marketing
functions with a sense of a social responsibilities. This is has resulted in retail
organization paying a great deal of attentions towards the socia;
responsibilities which they have towards they customer.
Economic significance the retailers play the role of sales specialist and also
the agents of purchase for their customer and suppliers respectively. Retailers
handle gamut of roles and functions aiming at understanding customer
requirements and anticipating the demand gathering information but the
market trends through strong market intelligence and making products
related assortments and discovering financing opportunities.
2. Continous improvement drives both the improvement of processes and
products. Companies that actively look for ways to enhance their business will
invariable increase the value of their products and service this will lead to
more sophisticated and overall more economically competitive offering.
3. In the modern workplace knowledge and technology quickly becomes
absolutely over time. If you are doing business in the same way that that yu
did 5 or 10 years ago, your company quickly go out of business. I challenges
employee and managers to go beyond their comfort zone. The only way to

new can be easily at first and be beyond current competencies.

5. I learned about the management and entrepreneurship and opportunities
to exploit these new technology and system and gain advantage in a highly
competitive and challenging environment retailers need to live and promote
the best and brightest. Shery holack a former vice president of talent

facing company in the coming years. The changing demographics are working
against us are the next ten years a lot of our senior manager members of the
baby boomers generation. Will retiring so we are going to be competing with
other retailers and firms and other industry for a smaller pool of available
managers in the generation behind the boomers.
