B. RESEARCH WORK: Do find for the whole Credo of National Communication Association on
Communication Ethics.

 Based on NCA Credo for Ethical Communication (adopted by the NCA Legislative Council in
November 1999) When individuals communicate, questions of right and evil emerge. Ethical
communication is critical for responsible thinking, decision making, and the formation of
connections and communities within and beyond settings, cultures, channels, and media.
Furthermore, ethical communication promotes human value and dignity by encouraging honesty,
fairness, accountability, personal integrity, and respect for oneself and others. We think that
unethical communication jeopardizes the quality of all communication and, as a result, the well-
being of people and society. As a result, we, the members of the National Communication
Association, support and pledge to implementing the following ethical communication principles:
 We advocate truthfulness, accuracy, honesty, and reason as essential to the integrity of
communication.
 We endorse freedom of expression, diversity of perspective, and tolerance of dissent to achieve
the informed and responsible decision making fundamental to a civil society.
 We strive to understand and respect other communicators before evaluating and responding to
their messages.
 We promote access to communication resources and opportunities as necessary to fulfill human
potential and contribute to the well-being of families, communities, and society.
 We promote communication climates of caring and mutual understanding that respect the unique
needs and characteristics of individual communicators.
 We condemn communication that degrades individuals and humanity through distortion,
intimidation, coercion, and violence, and through the expression of intolerance and hatred.
 We are committed to the courageous expression of personal convictions in pursuit of fairness and
justice.
 We advocate sharing information, opinions, and feelings when facing significant choices while
also respecting privacy and confidentiality.
 We accept responsibility for the short- and long-term consequences for our own communication
and expect the same of others.

 GOAL 4: Quality Education
 GOAL 5: Gender Equality
 GOAL 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
 GOAL 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
 GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
 GOAL 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
 GOAL 10: Reduced Inequality
 GOAL 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
 GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
 GOAL 13: Climate Action
 GOAL 14: Life Below Water
 GOAL 15: Life on Land
 GOAL 16: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions
 GOAL 17: Partnerships to achieve the Goal

C. By integrating UN Sustainable Goal no.16-Peace and Order, how does Communication Ethics take an
important role towards achieving it?

 In order to achieve UN Sustainable Goal No. 16, communication ethics are essential since there
are delicate situations when people's rights are at stake. There is constant rivalry. It is crucial to
confront threats of global murder, violence against children, human trafficking, and sexual assault
in order to advance inclusive and peaceful communities for sustainable development.
