Core Subject Description:
Physical education and health offer experiential learning for learners to adopt an active life for fitness and lifelong health. The knowledge, skills and understanding
which include physical and health literacy competencies support them in accessing, synthesizing and evaluating information: making informed decisions; enhancing and
advocating their own as well as others’ fitness and health.
This course on dance includes rhythmical movement patterns; the promotion and appreciation of Philippine folk dance, indigenous and traditional dances as well as other
dance forms. It consists of an array of offerings which learners can choose from.

Culminating Performance Standard:


This course will aim to instill in the students a sense of appreciation for dance as an integral part of our cultural heritage as well as an essential means to promote health
and well-being.

Performance Task:

Students will organize community dance event or program by the help of the following steps:
- Choose the type of event or program - Book the appropriate venue
- Plan the event - Check the utilities and facilities
- Assemble your team - Promote the event
- Budget for the event - Ensure safety and security
- Set the date - Hire performers, conductors, and instructors
