CARCINOGENIC SAFETY

A rubber mix for any automotive tire contains over 10% of special rubber process oils.
They impact considerably the performance of a tire in terms of wet grip, wear resistance and fuel economy.
Rubber process oils are also the main contributor to the amount of carcinogenic particles released to atmosphere
due to tire wear. Human organism accumulates these particles which may cause oncological diseases. Therefore,
many countries have been adjusting their legislation for over 6 years in a way to allow the use of only those rubber
process oils, where the content of carcinogenic components does not exceed the limits set by special studies.

In March 2014, we came up with a new Technical Regulation banning the
manufacture and imports of carcinogenic tires in Russia.
The Project received strong support from the State Duma and was submitted
to the Russian Government for consideration.

Since 2004, we have been conducting research

in the field of carcinogenic safety of tires together
with the most prominent specialists in this subject.
Our practices and know-how became the legal
basis for restrictions in Russia and worldwide.
