Not so cool at school

It was a sunny Monday morning when Toby's dad dropped him off at the school gates. He met his friends, Jim and
Chris, in the playground and they went inside, chatting about what they did at the weekend.

The boys went to their lockers, and Toby opened his and looked inside.
“What have we got this morning?” he asked his friends.
“Maths and French,” Chris replied. “Did you study for the French test?”
“Of course!” Toby said, searching in his locker to find his Maths textbook and French dictionary. “Well, my grandma
came round for lunch yesterday, anyway.”
Jim laughed. “You're so lucky!” he said. “Your grandma taught you French when you were a little kid, and now you
get top marks in every test without even trying.”
“Come on, guys – let's go,” interrupted Chris. “It's nearly 9 o'clock.”
Toby slammed his locker shut. “Relax, Chris,” he said. “We're never late.”

Toby started to walk away, but something pulled him back and he fell against the lockers. Chris and Jim laughed.
“Very cool, Toby!” Chris said. “You shut you hood in your locker!”

Toby felt a bit embarrassed at first, especially as Jim had to help him open his locker and get his hood out, but soon
he joined his friends and they laughed together as they walked to class.

1 Toby travelled to school by bus.

2 Chris studied hard for the French test.

3 Toby's grandma is from France.

4 Toby and his friends are always on time for lessons.

5 Toby was annoyed with his friends for laughing at him.
