Advertising Adstock Transformation

The document describes how to calculate an adstock rate using an analytical method. It involves: 1) Inserting sales and advertising exposure data over time. 2) Using a solver tool to minimize the sum of squared errors by varying the adstock rate between 0-100%, which transforms advertising exposures over time. 3) The optimal adstock rate is selected that produces the highest correlation between sales and transformed advertising exposures. In this example, the adstock rate was determined to be 83.3%.
