Business Project Rationale
A. Purpose of the project
Coconut fruit is a versatile food product that is widely used in different form
with different purposes. Coconut flour is also increasingly becoming the vital
ingredients in food and beverages in various business industries. Apart from health
and nutritional properties, coconut flour also provides a vibrant taste to the end
products. Moreover, coconut flour becomes the vital ingredients for those who are
adopting the low fat and high fiber diets as coconut flour contains the high amount
of soluble fiber. This becomes one of the purpose why this project is being proposed
meanly to offer healthy and rich in nutritional value of flour to the customers
specially to those who love to bake and are health conscious.
B. Objectives of the project
To increase the sales of the bsuiness by 10% within the next 12
months
To reduce the production cost by 5% each month for the next 6
months
To increase the customer’s satisfaction level at the end of every month
for the next 3 months.
To develop and improve the production process within the next 12
months
C. Description of type of organization
The type of organization of the project is general partnership. This partnership
is a type of business where two or more contributing individuals, agree to share in
both profits and losses and have unlimited personal liability for the obligations of
the business (Patriot Software LLC, 2022). Along with this, all partners are assumed
to have certain management responsibilities for running the organization. This
partnership is suited to this project because it allows every partners to have their
own responsibilities in running the business, thus making them responsible and
accountable with their actions.

B. Marketing feasibility
i. Description of target consumer/client
The target consumer of the proposed project are those who love to bake
pastries, pancakes, cakes, cookies and the like, especailly to those who have a
gluten allergy or sensitivity, this type of flour can be very useful because it doesn't
contain any grains or grain-based products like wheat, barley, and rye, who range
from 15 years old and above. Also, the pastry shops and bakeshops within the
municipality of Baganga and neighboring municipality.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the global Organic Coconut Flour market size is
estimated to be worth USD 360.3 million in 2021 and is forecast to a readjusted size
of USD 520.9 million by 2028 with a CAGR 5.3% during the review period 2022-
2028. Fully considering the economic change by this health crisis, global Organic
Coconut Flour market in 2021, is projected to value USD million by 2028, growing at
a CAGR in the post-COVID-19 period (News Channel Nebraska, 2022).

i. Brief description of product with a sample photo
Coconut Flour
Made from dried, ground coconut meat, coconut
flour is a natural byproduct of coconut milk
production. Like any other flour, coconut flour is a
white or off-white flour commonly used in baking.
Since it doesn't contain gluten, people on gluten-
free diets can substitute coconut flour in their recipe
for baked goods. Iron is the primary mineral present
in the coconut flour, making it as a good option for
people on vegan or vegetarian diets who are
concerned about getting enough iron.
