1. Introduction
Investors research for several days before risking their money in the stock
market. When a person decides to pull the trigger and enter the stock market,
one might feel a bit overwhelmed by all the information about how, where and
when to invest. Even if one has done the research, chosen a particular strategy,
and picked some investments that they believe would perform well, there’s no
assurance that things will go as one has planned. So for all those people who are
new to the stock market and practising trading strategies.

A trading similar is
essentially a copy of the
stock market on a virtual
trading platform. These
virtual platforms provide market data as you would generally see in your active
trading account. But there’s one big difference.
In your active trading account, your trades are made using your money. So,
when you lose, you lose real money. With these virtual platforms, you’re trading
with virtual or paper money that has absolutely no value. With this virtual money,
you can make investments in the market in a virtual environment. If your strategy
is flourishing and you’re making plenty of virtual cash, it’s time to try your hand in
the real world with real money.

Keeping in view the real thrill of the market monotony, we are here with the
Virtual Simulation of the same thrill and adrenaline rush through the event under
the banner of IITISoC, IIT Indore. The virtual share market enables the
participants to trade, buy, and sell mortgages and showcase their rationality and
their mettle against competitive decision-making under pressure. The full-time
active virtual market will be a platform to showcase your inferential,
pressure-handling capability.

Wealth Builders is a website where users are able to compete with their friends
or publically use "fake money" on the stock market. Users will be able to have a
set beginning cash amount and then invest in any number of stocks to see how they
perform. A game where users track how their fake money does on the real stock
market! Users can invest up to $10,000 to play the stock market without repercussions.
Techstacks used:

● It allows the user to practice trading using virtual currency.


● The user gets a set amount of simulated money with which to make simulated
investments.
● HTML and CSS is used to make the site attractive and to obtain a better user
experience.
● We will use Alpaca Stock API to live feed the stock prices and all the related
data.
● Javascript and Jquery libraries are also used in the project.

Features:

Top companies like Apple, Tesla, Microsoft etc have been added to the
watchlist of the stimulator whose shares can be bought and sold according
to the market conditions

● Real-time prices of stocks are shown beside the respective companies


owing to the stimulator’s good user interface.
● One can easily buy or sell the stocks through the buy /sell attributes and
can see the corresponding change in your wallet money and cash flow can
be seen live according to the change in share prices.
