ANNOTATION

Learner-centered education is very important in teaching and learning process. It

uses interactive strategies to engage the students and develop their abilities. This
educational approach helps students develop skills such as decision making and problem
solving, team work, and presentation skills that are relevant to the current labor needs.
In this particular lesson plan the following TEACHING PHILOSOPHIES were observed
to wit:

EXISTENTIALISM – In the Application part of my Lesson Plan students create their

meaning and purpose and believe in the importance of personal choice and develop their
own understanding.
CONSTRUCTIVISM – It can be found in my Evaluation part of my Lesson Plan the
students are free to explore their ideas and share concepts in non-traditional ways. The
students were able to construct knowledge based on their beliefs and experiences rather
than passively take in information.
HUMANISM – The students should have the choice in the learning process they
engage themselves in all aspects of learning with the teacher and peers. It also considers the
individual interests and abilities of students to bring out the best of them. And as a teacher I
give students the center-stage allowing them to plan, collaborate, and make decisions
together.

ANNOTATION

Research-based knowledge is a knowledge developed through a research process. In

a research-based learning approach, students actively search for and then use multiple
resources, materials, and texts in order to explore important, relevant, and interesting
questions and challenges. They find, process, organize and evaluate information and ideas
as they build reading skills and vocabulary.
In this particular lesson plan the following TEACHING PHILOSOPHIES observed is:
EXISTENTIALISM – In the Evaluation part of my Lesson Plan students create their
meaning and purpose and believe in the importance of personal choice and develop their
own understanding. In order to develop mastery, students must acquire component skills,
practice integrating them and know when to apply what they have learned in order to give
them the opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge in diverse contexts.

REFLECTION

As a teacher Code of Ethics helps us create a safe, productive, and positive learning
environment in our teaching career. We are expected to maintain challenging expectations
that will improve the potential of all learners through meaningful and inclusive participation
in the classroom, school and community. The Ethical Principles promote good relationships
between teachers, students and parents as well when making educational decisions. In
addition, this relationship between the students, the parents, and the teachers, all parties can
improve the teaching and learning activities and resources that will help improve the outcome
of the individual’s education.
Moreover, the Code of Ethics also challenges us, teachers to use current data and
professional knowledge to improve teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Keeping
up with new trends and current information, through professional development and
continuing education which allow us to do our very best to each of our student.
