DIFFERENT STAGES AND PART OF THE PROJECT

PARTS /CONTENTS OF A PROJECT PROPOSAL

1. Project Title - should be clear and specific phrase. It contains what your proposal is about.

2. Introduction- provides an overview of the project- explain the purpose of the rest of the
proposal. Included in this part are problem your project solves, how your project solves the
problem and your project’s intended impact.

3. Rationale- may include theoretical framework statistics and figures, abstract. A rationale is a set
of reasons or logical basis that explains to your reader why your proposal or study is needed to
contribute to the relevant field of study.

4. Objectives- what you plan to achieve by the end of your project. This might include deliverables
and assets, or more intangible objectives like increasing productivity or motivation. Your project
objectives should be attainable, time-bound, specific goals you can measure at the end of your
project.

5. Project Description- the details of a specific project in a structured format covering all stages of
the project and the processes involved in it. In here, you discuss the actions you will take, the
design and function and or the physical aspects of your project.

6. Feasibility Study-conducted to determine if the project is doable/plausible

7. Market Survey- identifies the competition. The features and benefits offered by the
competing products and services, industry standards, the possible opportunities of the
proposed product

8. Beneficiaries- particularly if the proposed product/service is not for sale

Target Market- if the proposed product/service is for sale

9. Budget- specifies how the money will be allocated to implement the activities described in the
proposal. The budget gives a clear picture of all expenditures involved in carrying out a project. ...
Expenses or expenditures enumerate how and where that money will be spent.

10. Project Schedule-  is created during the planning phase and includes the following: A project
timeline with start dates, end dates and milestones. The work necessary to complete the project
deliverables.It indicates what needs to be done, which resources must be utilized, and when the
project is due. It's a timetable that outlines start and end dates and milestones that must be met for
the project to be completed on time.

3. By Focus Group Discussion- with representatives of the market/beneficiaries

4. By Immersion- Staying in the locality to personally experience or observe the ways of life of the

locals
