Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The Jewar Airport is well-connected to Yamuna expressway and nearby cities including Delhi NCR,
Mathura, Vrindavan, Agra, Gurgaon, Aligarh, Bulandshehar and Palwal. Covering 5,100 hectares of
land, Jewar Airport is a much-awaited airport, in Delhi NCR which will be ready by 2023 and will be able
to handle 5 million passengers per annum (MPA) initially and up tp 60 MPA after expansion over the
years.
The new airport would have two runways. It will initially have a passenger
capacity of 12 million per year. The number of runways will later be increased to five.
