We always say that the key to success is hard work and sheer perseverance.
But the truth is
that success and its contributing factors vary from person to person, organization to
organization. Running a business is no different, which implies that, there is no fixed
template for success in business and this is where an exceptional business analyst plays a key
role. Even though there is no absolute solution for the problems that might come around in
the professional space, with the help of proper study and analysis of the data, an expert
business analyst would be able to gain insights on the company strategies and plan
accordingly. Also, he/she would be able to flag how certain actions can affect the credibility
of the company which helps the organization to achieve optimum quality service delivery.
Being a graduate in Computer Science Engineering, I am well versed in data structures as
well as in programming languages like C and C++. My academic profile is impeccable and I
have never failed to fulfill the duties and responsibilities vested in me as a student. Straight
after graduation, I was hired by one of the leading companies in my country as a Data
Support Analyst. Along with this, I was given the opportunity to rise above and beyond my
acquired academic knowledge and was presented with the opportunities to explore the
application of the same in resolving practical challenges in the field.
I would say that it is this trust of my employer that made me realize my inclination towards
the management domain rather than being a technician. Since this is crucial for my career, I
prefer nothing less than best and this is where the idea of international education struck me.
After running many searches, I found the Masters in Business Analytics program at
University of North Texas, as it looks like a tailor-made curriculum for someone like me who
is about to take a huge shift from being a software technician to a Business Analyst.
During my period at Teleperformance, I was functional in various projects, and one among
the versatile projects, I got to be a part of the Data support for Google products, which
focused on the techniques and Neutron tools to process the feedbacks of Google products to
escalate bugs and issues with functionalities. Here I worked for Google Meet and Google
Duo to make the products more user-friendly and efficient by escalating the bugs issued in
the products. The sole purpose of this project has helped the client to design the products
more efficient and user-friendly.
Apart from this, I was operational in another innovative major project which was inter-
disciplinary in nature. The project titled "Load rebalancing for images, videos in the
distribution file system in the cloud" aimed to reallocate the chunks of files as uniformly as
possible among the nodes such that there is no node that manages an excessive number of
chunks. To implement load rebalancing technique for the file types as .jpeg, .mp3, .mp4 and
also a minor project titled "Smart Note Taker" aimed to develop a device with a technology
which provides an opportunity to write in the air which converts into text in your computer
such as a 3D view. During my under graduation, I have also done an Internship at Electronics
Corporation of India Limited to develop "Secured integration of Blood bank Management" in
'Java'.
My work experience and academic knowledge in my field of engagement have always been
recognized and this encourages me to explore more possibilities and opportunities. Even
though I am a skilled technician, I am certain that my forte is in the business analytics
domain. In order to reach an exceptional level, I need to identify my strengths and
weaknesses with reference to the subject and channelize them in the right direction, to set my
own signature. The Masters in Business Analytics program from University of North Texas
will help me with the nuances of the subject, making me a fit to be seen in a professional
space. Also, University of North Texas provides world-class training which covers almost all
potential areas to be focused on and its application, including disciplinary and inter-
disciplinary sides as well.
All these years, I have managed to resolve all the challenges that I have come across in my
personal and professional life with grace and ease. It makes me confident that, the
international exposure and world-class curriculum offered by your esteemed university will
help me organize my personal and professional abilities, thus making me a potential
candidate in any academic or professional arena. Since I am shifting my area of engagement,
it is important that I gain my knowledge here. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I
want to make the maximum out of it. Also, in this situation where companies and
organizations struggle to survive the pandemic effects, business strategies are changing every
day, and staying updated with the new trends and techniques to favor the growth of any
organization that you would become a part of is mandatory. So, the course and curriculum
offered here are crucial in my identification and development as a business analyst.
After the successful completion of the course, I plan to pursue MBA from a leading
institution and build an outstanding career by joining hands with a remarkable organization in
my country.
