Note:
If the PC is not connected to the network, the search function cannot be used. In that case, an error message as
below is shown.
Check the communication cable and the communication setting. (Refer to the troubleshooting.)
The search function is for the units on the same network. For the units that are not on the same network, the
search result is not shown.
3.2 Changing IP Address
1. Select a unit that you want to change the IP address from the search result.
Specify the unit name, IP address, subnet mask and default gateway, and click [OK].
4. When the change in the setting has been completed successfully, the following message is shown.
5. Search and confirm that the setting has changed after a lapse of approx. 10 seconds.
4. Operation Procedures For Each Unit
The examples of the operation to change the IP address of each unit and to start the applications are described
below.
1. Searching units.
Note:
The Configurator WD should be used on the same network as the target unit that the IP address to be set. (Refer
to 1.3 Example of Operating Environment.)
3. Starting the application
Select the Web Datalogger and double-click it.
Input the user name and password correctly to log in the main menu of the Web Datalogger Unit.

Time Out: 0
Note:
Even if the communication mode and baud rate (COM1 port) of the AFPX-COM5 in the communication setting of
the Configurator WD has been changed, the communication mode and baud rate of the FP-X control unit does
not change. For the Ethernet communication with the FPWIN GR using the AFPX-COM5, specify the COM port
setting of the FP-X control unit as below.
When the upload has been completed, the following online screen is shown.
When the following error message is shown instead of the online screen, check the IP address of the PC and the
IP address setting of the AFPX-COM5.
When the following error message is shown instead of the online screen, check the COM1 port setting of the
FP-X control unit and the communication setting of the AFPX-COM5.

shown.
Note:
If more than one IP address has been registered in the PC and checking the box of “Not specify the IP address of
PC”, the search will be performed for the number of IP addresses registered. Therefore, the search result of the
same unit will be displayed redundantly. If more than one IP address has been registered, specify the IP address
for the search.
7. Troubleshooting
■The target unit is not displayed even if searched. (common to all units)
Check the power supply of the target unit is on.
Check the LAN cables for the target unit, PC, HUB (when using HUB) are inserted correctly.
Check the Link LED of the target unit is on.
The unit may not be connected on the same network. Check the network environment. (Refer to 1.3 Operating
Environment.)
The PC may be blocked by a firewall. Disable the firewall or add the Configurator WD to check in an exceptional
way.
(If the Configurator WD is added, the name “IP address search tool” will be displayed.)
When DHCP is valid, it may take a long time to get the IP. Try to search again after a while (approx. 2 minutes).
