Introduction
In today’s world vehicles form an important asset to the people without which the life
would be incomplete, issues on vehicle security is very rampant especially in the metropolitan
cities.[1] Currently most of the public are having an own vehicle, theft tries to steal the car from
parking and sometimes driving insecurity places.[2] The security of today provides little in terms
of vehicle safety. Anti-theft security systems are also very expensive, so an effective alternative
is required.[3]
Theft of the vehicle in the common parking places has matter of concern of every vehicle
owner. [4]This proposed work attempt to design and develop a smart anti-theft system that
uses GPS and GSM system to prevent theft and to determine the exact location of vehicle,
integrated with Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile
Real time technologies structures for street vehicle compelling exhaustive information
system occupied with a Global Positioning System and a Global System of Mobile. The client
interacts through this system with vehicles and determines the current locations and status using
Google Earth. GPS locator determined the target current location and sent, along the various
parameters received by vehicles data port, via SMS through GSM networks to a GSM modem
that is connected to PC or laptop. The GPS coordinates are corrected using a discrete Kalman
filter.

system that gives an alarm when someone tries to break and unlock into the vehicle. The safe
of vehicles is extremely essential for public parking that uses tracking and locking system which
installed in the vehicle that used to track the place and locking engine motor. When the theft
identified the sensor device send to the microcontroller for sending SMs to the owner, then the
micro controller issue the control signals to stop the engine motor. Authorized person need to
send the password to controller to restart the vehicle. This is more secured reliable and low
cost. This system puts into sleeping mode while the vehicle is handled by the owner or
authorized person otherwise goes to active mode the mode of operation is changed by in

system comprises of
an integration of both hardware and
software such as a
microcontroller (Arduino), GPS module,
GSM module, and a
vibration sensor. The hardware
development consists of wiring
between the GPS module, GSM module,
Arduino, and
vibration sensor. The software development
uses Arduino
source code, GSM module AT commands,
and the GPS
protocol command. The system is
controlled by the user with
the use of text messages. The system uses
the correlation
between the text messages and
programmed keywords to send
the vehicle coordinates directly to the
vehicle owner or to local
authorities. Performance tests show that
the system sends
coordinates to the owner whether or not the
vehicle is in
motion. The system is reliable and cost
effective for monitoring
vehicles in the eventuality of car,
