Good Health is essential to sustainability. With this project it can promote good health as it will lessen
the causes of health problems waste and dirty surroundings can bring.
The efficient management of our shared natural resources, and the way we dispose of toxic waste and
pollutants, are important targets to achieve this goal. Encouraging industries, businesses and consumers
to recycle and reduce waste is equally important, as is supporting developing countries to move towards
more sustainable patterns of consumption by 2030.
Dates of Implementation
Length of Implementation
The first 3 meetings will consist of meetings, surveys to carefully plan the implementation of the project.
This also include the preparation of the materials needed especially the materials to use during the
clean-up drive. The next five days will be the implementation of the projects.
The project aims to promote a better environment for the residents of Barangay Wawa and to
develop cleanliness and orderliness of the surroundings. This projects also aims to achieve these specific
objectives:
In the past years, our barangay, Barangay Wawa, located at Tanauan City, alongside the Taal
Lake has implemented several projects for the advancement, order, and safety for the residents living
under its jurisdiction. Some of these projects and programs include installing CCTVs to reduce crime and
ensure the safety of the residents and implementing parking rules to residents owning private vehicles.
Out of all the programs and projects that are currently in progress, our barangay gives cleanliness and
sanitation, awareness about certain things little attention, due to the fact that not many residents throw
and dump their garbage anywhere, some residents are not aware of certain knowledge. This project will
be composed of two different programs. This includes coastal clean up and environmental awareness
campaign. The project aims to educate the citizens of Barangay Wawa to concern about crisis of rubbish
in the environment by learning through the activities and experience from real situation. The project
also motivates community to initiate a sustainable waste management system. This project will benefit
to both residents and community in long terms.
VII. Rationale
Cleanliness is one of the keys to maintain the beauty of our environment. Throwing of waste
product along the shore of Taal Lake is observed as the shoreline has been popular to the people.
Difficulties in regulating and controlling due to the publics proper disposal od their garbage has been a
problem to the environment. As part of the main objective of the proposed project, a coastal clean-up
along the shore of Barangay Wawa will be conducted. This aims to promote a better environment for
the residents and for the tourists visiting the shore. Coming second is the Environmental Awareness
Campaign. The intention of this campaign is to promote complete awareness, that their common ways
of disposal is harmful to the environment as well as for their family. This will help the people know more
about proper disposal of waste. We, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, first year students are glad that
we get to serve our community as well as we serve our nation. We had given all of our efforts to create a
plan that is very helpful to the environment. This can improve the overall orderliness of the community.
VIII. Methodologies
Division of labor and concrete plan of work is the main method for the success of the project.
Dissemination of work should be done. It must be carefully planned who will do the tasks. One will take
care of the materials and will prepare for the area of venue during the respective program. Other
member is responsible for making surveys, gathering data, and providing information during the
awareness program. After the data gathering and surveys, the students will then prepare the materials
needed in the clean up drive and in the awareness program. After the preparation and the organizing of
the programs and materials, the proponents are now ready for the implementation of the program.
Coastal Cleaning will be the first one to implement and after two days of cleaning, the awareness
program will be followed the next day. Documentation will compile pictures and videos through out the
project. This project also includes strategies. The team must be consistent in maintaining every part of
the plan and must also practice discipline by passing and accomplishing their tasks in accordance to the
respective schedule.
