Student self-assessment
This form assists your college counselor in writing your recommendation. The more specific
details you can give us, the more thorough your college recommendation will be. This form will
also help you with the entire college application process, especially in preparing for interviews
and writing admission essays. Expect to spend three or four hours on this task, which should
result in a document of three to eight pages.

1. School activities: List the activities in which you have participated, the number of years and the
amount of time per week you spent, and what you have gained or learned from each activity.
Consider artistic, athletic, literary, community service and leadership positions.
I have been engaged in numerous activities throughout but here’s a brief summary of recent activities
which I can easily recall
• Being the vice president of entrepreneurship society, I was actively involved the College’s
business expo – Received award for the best display and presentation of a unique business idea.
Spent countless hours for Two weeks to make this event a success
• Being the member of directorate, I took charge of the registrations department for the FWMUN
– This challenged my patience since keeping records and justifiying the monetary stuff was
mentally draining yet one of my favourite activity – The department kept on working for 5-6
hours everyday for atleast a month
• Since childhood I have been giving substantial time to sports – cricket being at the top. I could
play for hours without keeping a check of time – Improving my physical and mental health and
making me realise the importance of Co-orindation, Co-operation , converting agression into
strength and most importantly Teamwork
• Elected as the Headboy for two years consistently in IGCSE, which boosted my confidence
•Creative writing events , debating competitions , world scholars-cup , IKMC & IKLC all seemed
a piece of cake to me since I had been doing such things since primary school

These are just some skills & qualities I gained while making a stressful and hectic task
joyful
3. What do you consider your most important activities outside of school? List jobs, paid or
voluntary; religious activities; hobbies; travel; music; art; and drama. Include the number of years
of your involvement and the amount of time you spent on the activity weekly and explain why
this activity was significant to you.
- Firstly I think the most important are religious activites because those are
the one that help us become a better person and also it improves health,
learning, economic well being, self control, self esteem and empathy. It
reduces the incidence of social pathologies such as crime, drug and
alcohol addictions, health problems and anxiety so that is why this is the
most important. I personally try my best to spend my most of the time in
religious activities.
- GYM & Swimming – 2 hours for 5 days a week – improves my physical and mental
well being
- Hanging out at every weekend to stay mentally fresh to avoid unnecessary academic
pressure
- I prefer traveling whenever I get the opportunity since I find long drives very peaceful
and calming. This also helps to explore different cultures and different people.

Holy Book of Quran: The Holy Quran has had the greatest impact on me because it
has spiritual guide for all individuals and communities and it has given me great
knowledge and lessons.

The high achievers awards have been my greatest academic accomplishment and I
am proud of it because I have received those awards among so many students due to
my hard work.
