Abstract:

This essay describes the steps involved in creating a strategy and job
description for the position of Red Lobster Restaurant Manager. The alignment
of its most recent business strategy with its existing management hiring would
be reinforced. This job description demonstrates the significance of the position
of Restaurant Manager both inside the organization and within the restaurant.
It describes the purpose and scope of the position, the essential duties, the
decision-making standards, the relationships and responsibilities within the
company, the minimal qualifications, the knowledge, and the abilities of the
ideal candidate, and the relationships and responsibilities within the business.
Introduction
I have been employed by Red Lobster as a consultant to help with the hiring of
management-level personnel. To better implement the new corporate strategy,
they have asked me to develop a plan and job description for recruiting a
restaurant manager. Red Lobster will benefit from this procedure in the future
when it creates new job descriptions for service-level personnel.
Process of Job Analysis
Several factors need to be taken into account and understood in order to write
the Red Lobster job description. Red Lobster will be allowed to start the process
of recruiting a restaurant manager after the inquiry is complete.

 Prior to anything else, we need to understand the position of the


restaurant manager inside the company. What exactly falls within the
purview of a restaurant manager? (Kshafer, 2011)
 In order to manage the business process, what should the individual be
concerned about? The second thing we need to do is determine what
these people's new duties will entail.
 Third, the least level of knowledge needed to carry out restaurant
management responsibilities.
 The remuneration that existing restaurant managers earn is the fourth
point.
 The fifth factor is the knowledge and proficiency required for the role.
 The degree of experience needed for the role is the last point.

Position's Purpose and Responsibilities
To oversee the operational and financial operations of a specific restaurant
location, Red Lobster Seafood Restaurants is looking for a capable restaurant
manager. The incumbent must make sure that our restaurants foster a
supportive workplace for staff members and a friendly atmosphere for patrons.
Restaurant manager duties include:

 Demonstrate leadership via example to promote high levels of


productivity and create solid and lasting connections with customers.
 The restaurant's operational actions in coordination
 Make sure all restaurant staff members are compiling safety and
requirements
 Resolving consumer or employee disputes
 Keep accurate restaurant operational records
 Make sure the business's budgetary elements, notably its revenue and
spending, are in order.
 As needed, escalate any problems with the process, the product, or the
service to the owners, the corporate office, or top management.
 Make sure I comply with laws and regulations, such as those concerning
food safety, pandemic procedures, workplace health and safety
requirements, etc.
Requirements for Making Decisions:

 Maintain inventory for operations and decide what changes to make to


operations to meet consumer requests while minimizing produce waste
 Implement strategies for improving restaurant operations and customer
experience.
 Perform employee evaluations and decide on raises.
 Decide on employee shift schedules and make sure there is an adequate
and optimal number of staff.
 Evaluate workplace safety and decide on any changes and corrections
that need to be made.
Supervisory Standpoints' Functions:

 Acquisition, training, mentoring, development, and direction of


restaurant staff;
 Ensuring that workers give a pleasant and welcoming customer
experience;
 Ensuring that profitable margins are maximized after accounting for
employee pay and expenditures;
 Providing sales reposts to headquarters.

An explanation of the relationships and positions within the organization

 The vice presidents of operations and financial affairs receive his reports.
 Front desk workers, housekeeping staff, customer service staff, food and
beverage staff, account and finance staff, and marketing managers are
all reporters.
Minimum prerequisites and experience:

 More than three years of experience working in a restaurant or hotel;


 a certificate or certification in hospitality management;
 a track record of consistently providing happy customers;
 excellent leadership abilities;
 Great written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Additional Experience and Qualifications

 More than three years of experience as a restaurant or hotel manager,


 A bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.

2019). With the daily business of running a restaurant and the activities in the
kitchen. A manager needs to be well-organized, communicate clearly, and
handle issues swiftly and competently. The job description should be engaging
and employ straightforward language, but it should also grab the attention of
candidates or potential applicants. The first stage is to highlight the job title,
which will include both the job title and a few specifics about the work. Second,
a summary of the position should be included in the job description. This
summary should include any general or appealing aspects of the position as
well as information about the organization's history, any prerequisites, and the
roles and responsibilities that the candidate will be expected to perform.
