WALKING and WEATHER
WALKING and WEATHER
People who live in cities don't really walk too much because they frequently travel
quite long distances. However, those who live in rural areas walk a lot around
them. The majority of urban residents enjoy morning walks and consider walking
as a form of exercise.
5 Do you think walking is important?
Yes, I think walking is the best and the simplest way to stay fit in today’s busy life. People hardly
have time to exercise and on top of that most of the jobs are limited to the desk. Hence regular
walking is indeed very important.
6 Do you walk more than in the past ?
Yes, of course. When I stayed at home , I went to school by bus and used electric bicycle when
ever I went out . Now I live on campus. I have to walk from my dorm room to class and back. I
have to walk around campus to buy stuff, and get things done. So I definitely walk a lot more
than before.
7 Do you think walking in the countryside is better than walking in the city?
Yes, walking in the countryside is definitely better than walking in the city. The greenery
and fresh air that you can enjoy in the countryside is scarce in the crowded cities. Plus,
rural areas are more peaceful and pollution-free which makes them perfect for long
walks.
8. What could be done to improve the experience of walking in cities?
Actually a lot can be done to improve the walking experience in the cities like planting more
trees, constructing parks and separate lanes for walkers all across. Moreover, there could be
special walking zones with no vehicles allowed during some hours of the day.
WEATHER
1 What is the weather like in your country each season?
It depends on which part of the country you are referring to. I’m currently living in the North, I
would say the weather is a bit comfortable because it has all four seasons but sometimes the
weather can also get pretty extreme, especially in the summer when the temperature can reach
up to 40 degree celcius
