While growing up we are constantly facing challenges and obstacles, and thus learning becomes

a key to face challenges. I strongly believe the saying that “The beautiful thing about learning is
that no one can take it away from you”.

I am writing this letter to apply for the (MBA) Master of Business Administration program at
Ulster University for January session 2023. I truly believe by completing this program I will be
able to fulfill my dreams that I have seen for many years. I am keen to study the Master of
Business Administration program offered by the Ulster University at its London campus. On
completion of my current study, I am driven to explore new and further branches of advanced
level of academic knowledge in business and management areas which will provide me rounded
academic acumen to design my career in line with my academic and career goals.

I did my schooling from an American school named William Carey Academy (WCA) which
covers both school and college. I graduated from WCA in the year 2008 with a CGPA of 3.92, in
the same year I got admitted to a renowned university named Independent University of
Bangladesh IUB) in the course of Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA).

I finished my undergrad with a CGPA of 3.88 in the year 2011 followed by an Internship. Since
my major in undergrad was accounting and minor was finance I choose to acquire experience
and practical knowledge by working in a Chartered Accountancy firm. The one year long
intensive internship gave me a broad knowledge and experience in the practical field of
accounting since I participated in audits and account checking with my superiors. Even though I
have gained a good amount of experience I always wanted to apply my educational skills to do
business and variety of jobs. So after internship I started my own business besides doing a job.
Between my educational and career journey there has been a gap since I wanted to get more
hands on experience.

Besides my jobs I also started my business. I established a clothing Brand “Brides and Maiden”.
While I got time after my job and on weekends I designed for my clothing boutique. It was my
plan all throughout to get work and business experience first and then to finish my studies. I am
happy that I took that decision because now I can imply work experience to my studies and have
a better in depth understanding of books to realities.
Eventually I figured why MBA is so important. MBA will definitely make a successful career
change & immense network opportunities for taking my career to its peak. Besides getting in
depth knowledge of business world I will also gain more personal development. From the year
2013 till now I have worked in various companies. I experienced administrational works, to
merchandising and managerial works.

While visiting your university website, I have read the modules, syllabus and learning outcome
of Master of Business Administration course. Master of Business Administration has been
designed with core modules including Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Innovation and
Entrepreneurship, Economics and the Business Environment, Economics People in the
Organisation, Operations Management, Leadership and Change, Digital Transformation and
Business Project. The contents of the course are combination of theory and practice based to
develop ability to think critically, with the help of virtual learning support with intranet features,
along with variety of learning resources and revision aids. One thing took my attention while
working for my job is that for promoting or getting high positions you have to get a MBA degree
or any other higher degrees. I also believe that there is no age in learning. Moreover, I want to do
this MBA program not only to survive in the job market but for my personal growth.

I would like to study in United Kingdom for various reasons. UK has been known for an ideal
destination for millions of students over the years. Not only has it given a homely secured
platform for students to study abroad but also provided a quality degree to shine in their
respective careers. The mixed cultures gave international students to get access to their local
food and people even staying abroad. Apart from the social and environmental side UK has
undisputed reputation for academic excellence. Over the years students graduating from UK has
shown established career. While recruiting, renowned organizations and industries also give
priority to students who graduated from universities from UK. Another important factor is that
compared to other big countries like Australia or Canada, UK has better standard of living for
students. They have laws supporting students to work beside their studies, which therefore gives
an upper hand in their cost of living. Beside all of that UK is a beautiful and traditional country
which refreshes a student’s mind with its beauty. When I visited UK before I also encountered
the friendliness of the British people which touched my heart which gives you a homely
environment despite being far from home.
If I have to answer why I chose Ulster University particularly I have to answer in more than one
reason. Firstly, after researching I have seen Ulster University has good ratings and reviews from
international students. It is very well reputed and as well as famous among other world class
universities. Ulster University has many campuses all over UK which includes Birmingham and
London campus. I want to get admitted in the London campus. The reason I choose to study in
London campus because London city is the heart. Lastly and most importantly the academic
excellence it has provided over the years to diversified studies from across the globe. Thus,
Ulster University welcomes international students warmly since it has an expertise of over many
years. I also would like to add that compared to other universities Ulster has the perfect
combination of being affordable and giving the best education. To acquire an advanced level of
knowledge I believe Ulster University is suitable in every way for me. It will be a perfect step in
my ladder of career, adding high qualification for myself.

I have some future plans if everything goes according to plan. I would like to continue my
business career upon returning my country while looking for a suitable job. This MBA course
will increase my self-esteem and self-confidence while running my business. I will be more
confident in facing challenges which we encounter daily and during job. I will be more assertive
in facing professionals in the same working field. Also while working with other employees I
will find myself equally or more qualified enough. Whether hiring or being hired I will also
know the academic knowledge one has to pursue to excel in this field.

I am confident that if I get admission in your university, I will give my hundred per cent effort to
make the most out of this opportunity. Your guidance and support will make me the dream
person I always wanted to be. I can serve much better to the people of the world with my
knowledge and dedication.
