RAM temporarily stores data and programs to allow for quick access by the computer's processor. This allows the computer to perform tasks like loading apps, accessing the internet, and multitasking between programs. More RAM capacity allows running of more apps simultaneously. A hard drive is a storage device that holds the operating system, software, and user-created files like documents and photos. It consists of a spinning magnetic platter with data compartments and an actuator arm that moves across the platter to read and write information. The internet is a global network of physical cables that connects billions of computers and devices worldwide. It allows access to information and interaction between people anywhere in the world by connecting computers to this network.

RAM, or Random Access Memory is the hardware on a computer that stores the operating system,
application programs, and data in use so that the computer's processor can access them quickly. RAM
allows your computer to perform a variety of daily tasks, such as loading applications, accessing the
internet, editing a spreadsheet, or enjoying the most recent game. Memory also allows you to quickly
switch between tasks, remembering where you are in one when switching to another. In general, the
greater your memory capacity, the better. This will allow you to run various amount of application at a
time.
