II. Project Summary
This project aims to provide the students of Pontevedra National High School (PNHS
residing in Barangay Sublangon, Pontevedra, Capiz a Communal eLearning Space for School
Year 2021-2022. It will be a tie up project among the school, who will provide the tablets, the

system and supervision, the Barangay Council of Sublangon, who will provide the learning space
and daily monitoring, and the SK Federation of Sublangon, who will provide the Internet
connection all throughout the duration of the project. The said eLearning Space will be used by
the students in their online classes, online submission of requirements, and online researches and
referencing for free.
The school will coordinate and ask for assistance with the Barangay Council and SK
Federation of Sublangon to create the eLearning Space in the barangay for the whole school year
of 2021-2022 with an estimated project cost of 15, 800 php that will be taken from the funds of
Barangay Council and SK Federation of Sublangon.
III. Project Background
The pandemic has caused our education landscape to change drastically making the
teaching-learning a very complex process. With the new distance learning modalities, where
students are taught their lessons from their homes using modular, blended, online, radio-based or
television-based learning, it is undeniable that students are having a very hard time learning their
lessons and teachers, parents and guardians are having a hard time as well in teaching the lessons
considering the limitations in communication, lesson discussions and resources at home
especially learning references, gadgets and Internet connection. Most of the time, students would
ask their parents to provide them with gadgets and Internet connection so they can interact with
their teachers and classmates online, attend online discussions, do online submission of
requirements and do online researches since they have no other learning resources to use as
reference for their lessons to augment their learning. However, most parents/guardians could not
provide everything for their children or sustain the provision of these needs, especially the daily,
weekly or monthly load allowance for internet connection since it has now become a new
necessity in the new mode of teaching-learning process. Eventually, this affects the learning
outcome of the child.
With this pressing issues encountered by the school, the Communal eLearning Space
Project was thought of and proposed in hope for a better and improved distance teaching-
learning process among the students, teachers and parents/guardians of the school. The concept
of this project is inspired by the DepEd’s Home Learning Space Program where students are
encouraged to have a learning space in their homes, however we understand that not everyone is
able to have one since most of the students in our school belong to low socioeconomic status and

live in small houses where space is very limited for their basic needs. This is where the
Communal eLearning Space Project would provide help for students to have a safe, accessible
and electronic learning space in the barangay where they can do online researches, attend online
classes, submit requirements online, interact with their teachers and classmates in online
platforms and even access online DepEd learning resources.
IV. Project Objective
1. To provide the students of Pontevedra National High School (PNHS residing in Barangay
Sublangon, Pontevedra, Capiz a Communal eLearning Space for School Year 2021-2022
V. Project Methodology
The school will coordinate with the Barangay Council and SK Federation of Barangay
Sublangon, Pontevedra, Capiz for a schedule of presentation of the project proposal. The
presentation will highlight the advantage the students of barangay will get out of the project and
the roles and counterparts of the Barangay Council and SK Federation in the project. The
Barangay Council will be asked to provide the learning space and the daily monitoring system
for the project, while the SK federation will be asked to provide the Internet connection for the
eLearning Space. The ten tablets for the Communal eLearning Space will be provided by the
school. Once agreement is made, the project will be launched.
The eLearning Space will be situated in a place where there will be enough space for
tables, chairs and students to practice social distancing. Preferably, in a place where there is good
ventilation and lighting. Only students of the school can use the eLearning Space. The use of the
eLearning Space will be by Sitio that comprises the Barangay Sublangon, so a schedule will be
made and observed to regulate everything and provide fair chance of use to every student in the
Barangay. Each student can use the eLearning Space for a maximum of one hour in a day for
twice a week as to his/her schedule day/s. The officer of the day of the Barangay Council will
supervise the daily use of the eLearning Space while the Project Supervisor, who is a teacher
from the school, will do the weekly monitoring and supervision.

B. Project Deliverables
1. Accomplishment Report. Once the project is done, an accomplishment report shall be
submitted to the Project Head from the school and from the Barangay to report the summary of
achievements made throughout the course of the project.
C. Project Risk Management
1. The rise of COVID19 positive case in the Barangay or Municipality could possibly put the
community in extreme level of quarantine where stricter protocols are implemented which might
also include the stoppage of the project’s operation.
