I.RATIONALE
Reading is a valuable skill for acquiring knowledge, but it has many other important
benefits. The benefits of reading include enhancing one's language skills, especially if the
reading material blends familiar and challenging concepts. Vocabulary, grammar, and
syntax are all advanced by reading, which enhances one's ability to speak and write.
Reading comprehension is the ability to read text, process it and understand its meaning. It
relies on two, interconnected abilities: word reading (being able to decode the symbols on
the page) and language comprehension (being able to understand the meaning of the
words and sentences). As a result this improves individual learning about Filipino and
English vocabulary.
II. OBJECTIVES
• Introducing texts containing new ideas and concepts and helping the students to make
use of and build on their prior knowledge to understand the texts and gain more knowledge
about the topics. Also teaching students how to connect the ideas and concepts to real life
experience.
• Helping the students to expand their vocabulary and learn new vocabulary in context.
•Helping the students to ask and answer questions about the texts and developing their
ability to summarize both the main idea and specific details from a reading passage.
Learning new things gives us a feeling of accomplishment which, in turn, boosts our
confidence in our own capabilities; you'll also feel more ready to take on challenges and
explore new things. Acquiring new skills will unveil new opportunities and help you find
innovative solutions to problems. Just like reading we gain a lot of information and
knowledge that opens up our mind into misteries and imagination that drives into reality.
Social engagement and implementing activities that advocacies youths and childrens is the
most powerful weapon to lessen ignorance and empower education. Reading
Comprehension project eagers to fullfill society's hole and repair it into much productive
community.
The said project proposal was implemented during Monday to Friday of the month of April
and May, while the remaining weekends will be placed to evaluate and assess the process
by knowing some improvements and result. As a member of our community, I create and
easy way to show my responsibility through the Reading Comprehension project. I planned
to help children's and student's in our neighboring community and giving them enough
attention and time, help in improving their vocabulary through assisting their reading and
writing. First, prepare all the necessary materials like: paper, ballpen, reading books and
coloring materials, get the parent's approval and start the process. During the first week
there are childrens who do not want to joined, because some are shy, busy, and can't see if
it is important. I reach out on them and describe my mission through their online accounts
and some are personally talk. On the second week there are some respondents who are
willing to learn, I start the activities by guiding them on their reading, I conclude that they
need a lot of help because they can't pronounced some of the English words while on the
otherhand they are all good in Filipino language. Most children below 10 years old enjoys to
draw and colors their output. Up until at the end of the project I see improvements on their
readings and they all happy to see the results of their hardwork. They say that from now on
they will continue on reading and understand more what they read. I can say that even in a
small way of participation and engagement let us help those who are in need, show them
that there's a kindness in this world so that they will also help others.
Through this project most of the students who joined the activities improves their reading
vocabulary. These learning can used in their homework, and increased their performance at
school by having a good grade and excellent performance. Their interest in reading will
increased and will encourage them to focus on English subject. It’s important for students
to see that reading can be a fun and exciting experience. The last thing we want is for our
students to think of reading as a chore, which makes the books you choose for your read
alouds extremely important. Pick something of high interest to your students or something
that connects with a topic of study. Relevance is the key to success when it comes to
generating interest and promoting the positive aspects of reading. We need to take reading
for fun and relaxation, don't pressure yourselves if you can't understand some terms
instead try to expand your learning through searching and asking. I therefore conclude that
this project is a great success knowing that the respondents improves and get the help they
need.
V. RECOMMENDATIONS
Recommendation 2: Teach students to identify and use the text’s organizational structure
to comprehend, learn, and remember content.
Structure the discussion to complement the text, the instructional purpose, and the
readers’ ability and grade level. Develop discussion questions that require students to think
deeply about text. Ask follow-up questions to encourage and facilitate discussion. Have
students lead structured small-group discussions (discussions will be more structured with
younger students).
Use multiple genres of text that are of high quality and offer a richness and depth of ideas
and information. Choose texts with word recognition and comprehension that are
appropriately difficulty for the students’ reading ability and the instructional activity. Use
texts that support the purpose of instruction.
One study found that comprehension was better among 2nd-grade students exposed to
text that clearly laid out the elements of the narrative than it was among similar students
working with a poorly structured text. Another study found that 3rd-grade students appear
to understand the distinction between informational and literary texts and that the
structure of students’ summaries reflected that difference.
Help students discover the purpose and benefits of reading. Create opportunities for
students to see themselves as successful readers. Give students reading choices and the
opportunity to learn by collaborating with their peers
This project was evaluated by 5 different persons: two student's parent, one councilor, one
teacher and one bussiness entrepreneur. Based on their evaluation their feedback on my

RATIONALE
The feasibility of the rationale is nearly possible to do the project, knowing the importance
of reading and comprehension as a main idea in rationale is appropriate and helpful. The
rationale part is the main tool to success the project, and by what I can see it is helpful and
relevant. In feasibility the rationale is easy to implement rationale show the importance and
solution to the problem It is relevant and helps not only the society but also the individual
OBJECTIVES:
In feasibility the objectives is complete and easy to attain. The objectives list are
appropriate and best and can be a solution to the problem. The objectives is relevant and a
big help to implement the program for the students. In relevant objectives is helpful and
the community will benefit as a whole.
In feasibility the project will be possible by the given time frame, in appropriateness the
scope and time frame are showed.The scope and time frame are relevant to know on how
much time needed for the project.This is best for me, because they will help my child to
read and write also understand deeper
IMPLEMENTATION
In feasibility the steps before the program is easy to do and can successfully implemented,
in appropriateness the steps and ways on during implementation is greater help and can
make the project successful and the relevant The ways on monitoring and evaluation is
applicable and create a greater change.The materials needed are displayed and the task
leader can possibly do the program, the given ways is appropriate and give best shot to
make this project successful
The monitoring and evaluation the feasibility process is possible and easy, the
documentation process is the solution the project of evaluation and monitoring is
applicable and helpful. It is relevant and can be achieved. Documenting process is the best
way to monitored the program ,the monitoring and evaluation is relevant and applicable to
have a greater change.
BUDGET ALLOCATION
The fund is manageable and does not require large amount. The fund is properly divided
and explained. The fund is small and best to implement the project.The budget is money
friendly therefore this is successful to implement.Small budget is necessary and best
solution for the evaluators not to be disappointed.
