Critical Path Method

Critical Path Method (CPM) is a technique used to schedule project activities. It involves creating a network diagram of activities with estimated durations and determines the longest continuous path of activities which requires the total time to complete the project. This longest path is called the critical path. CPM helps identify the schedule activities and their dependencies to complete the project on time. It determines the early and late start and finish dates for activities using forward and backward passes on the network diagram. The critical path of activities has zero total float and any delay will delay the entire project completion.
