4. What is the deliberative case why and why not publish or study the life and book of Rizal?

The reason behind the pursuance of the Rizal Bill is to keep the memory of the national
hero alive in every Filipino’s mind, to emanate Rizal as he peacefully fought for our freedom,
and to develop life lessons and values that we need to build a better nation concomitant to the
aspirations of our forefathers through appreciating Rizal’s contributions towards our country. On
the other side, the main reason behind the opposition to publish Rizal's works, name Noli Me
Tangere and El Filibusterismo, is because they believed that it is a humiliation towards
Catholicism and it would violate the freedom of conscience and religion.
