NSTP (REFLECTION FOR FILIPINO VALUES)

Filipino values refer to the set of values or the value system that a majority of the Filipino have

historically held important in their lives. Filipinos use their values as lenses through which they view the

world.

The best characteristics in the world are found in us Filipinos. Even though we are not perfect, we still

possess wonderful traits and qualities that everyone should be proud of. Here are a few traits that I am

particularly eager to share: Filipinos are people who are all out in "pakikisama," which roughly translates

to getting along with others and attempting to read the atmosphere in order to foster unity. The Filipinos

are very hospitable when it comes to their fellowmen. They will invite their visitors to come into their

homes and offer them treats such as snacks and drinks after a long journey. There are other occasions

when the Filipinos will give their guests nothing but the best, even though they may not always be able to

afford it. To ensure that their guests are comfortable, they even go to the extreme of giving up their own

bedrooms' comfort and even resorting to sleeping on the floor. The love that Filipinos have for their

nation is likewise inevitable. I will always be proud that I am a Filipino, “sa isip, sa diwa at sa gawa”, I

love being a Filipino, proud, honored and dignified to be a real and embedded Filipino.
