The teaching and learning of Computer Hardware Servicing, like any other subject, requires
that both teacher and learner communicate effectively to be able to achieve the objectives and
goals. Students’ perceptions about mathematics are related to their perception on how they learn
the subject which majority gave the notion that it is all about problem solving and unyielding
numbers to solve. Hence, the preparing instructional material in T.L.E. of this module proposed by
Mr. Pedro V. Parocha, Jr,as a chairman and Junior High School teacher at Catablan Integrated
School.
One of the teaching strategies implored to ease the predicament experienced by the
students learning T.L.E. was the crafting of instructional materials that would benefit the Grade 9
self-paced learning which topics are organized in the best way they are understood by the diverse
learners. Topics are well-defined which also contain element of instructions where the presence of
an educator is not much needed and the specific objectives that students aim to achieve.
Teaching-learning activities are also provided in a module to cater the needs of the students and
assess themselves if they have achieved the objectives given in this kind of instructional material,
each student learns in a unique way and so of providing different activities that would enhance
their prowess and intelligence as module is not contained and set to achieve a single skill but to
target holistic skills of each learner. Evaluation is also present in a instructional material using
criteria-referenced measurement as this would tell if there were significant changes with the
This instructional materials in Computer Hardware servicing was initiated in the S.Y. 2015-
2016 and based on the observation and assessment of Mr. Parocha as they distributed the
instructional material to all Grade 9 students of Catablan Integrated School from the strat of
classes on June 18, 2015 up to the end of the school year on March, 2016, this had become a
great intervention to the learning process of the students particularly in learning the T.L.E. subject.
Teachers had exerted effort to teach the subject but with the help of the module, learning
outcomes were intensified. Ease in learning the subject from the predicaments enumerated was
evident and so of the project considered as effective. The instructional materials can be used by
everyone in the Grade 9 level and a little bit of integration is required as time passe by.
In conclusion, the implementation of the project achieved the constructive alignment where
