Excel is a spreadsheet program that allows you to store, organize,


and analyze information. While you may believe Excel is only used by
certain people to process complicated data, anyone can learn how to take
advantage of the program's powerful features. Whether you're keeping a
budget, organizing a training log, or creating an invoice, Excel makes it easy
to work with different types of data.

Launching Microsoft Excel application

To get started, make sure to have an installed Microsoft Office in your


laptop/ desktop.

Procedure:
1. Locate the Microsoft Excel shortcut
icon in your desktop.

You can also use the search


command and type Microsoft Excel in
the search box.

2. Double click the Microsoft Excel shortcut icon to launch the


application.

or right click on the Microsoft Excel


shortcut icon, a pop up menu will
appear, click open.

Closing Microsoft Excel application

Once you are finished encoding data in Microsoft Excel application it


is applicable to properly close it to avoid losing your data.
