(NFTs) and the Metaverse. Our panel will review the major intellectual property
case law in both areas, discuss trends indicated by the existing decisional law,
and make practical suggestions for IP practitioners operating in this space.
Specific areas of focus will include fashion, licensing, and advertising—for both
NFTs and the Metaverse. Finally, the panel will explore critical lessons for IP
practitioners and offer predictions regarding new and emerging issues that are
likely to arise.

religion, and other categories is universal. In addition, a diverse workforce can
improve innovation, profitability, and overall engagement regardless of location.
This panel will explore how DEI efforts are created and implemented in different
parts of the world. Our panelists will provide an overview of what practices have
been successful and will provide practical advice on what more can and should
be done to continue to move the needle on this important issue.

credit cards. Donations can also be made online before the reception. Only non-

The ever-changing scene around the world with respect to embargoes and
sanctions and the way they affect IP rights requires professionals and brand
owners to stay up-to-date and adapt their strategies for IP protection,
enforcement, and licensing accordingly. In this session, we’ll explore the
different levels of sanctions and embargoes and discuss the relevant issues that
must be considered by IP professionals and brand owners. An update on the
current sanctions and embargo will also be provided.
