PROGRESS REPORT
A. RATIONALE
The SAGIP-ARAL is an intervention program of Mandilikit National High School purposely promulgated
so that no students may remain in the grade level enrolled because of failing grades. In line with DepEd slogan
“Education for all” the school exerted effort and support so that whenever possible no failure and no drop happen
within the school year which is attributed by the student with learning difficulties. To be able the school is ready to
combat the anticipated problem that may arise in the future this intervention program is now made.
B. ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN
(Enumerate and describe below the different activities during the SAGIP-ARAL PROGRAM)
1. Assignment of teacher to handle the students with learning difficulties.
2. Identification of the pupils with difficulty in reading and writing through assessment from the Grade 7
Enrolments.
3. Giving remedial classes to the identified students with learning difficulties.
4. Remediation in the lesson planning particularly reading and writing.
5. Scheduling the remedial classes at least once a week.
6. Monitor and evaluate the students’ performance.
7. Parents of students with learning difficulties are oblige to take part and support the program, particularly
regarding their kid’s attendance to classes (all grade level)
8. Teachers handling the remedial classes is given orientation and training of the purpose.
FACILITATING FACTORS

Teamwork served as the outstanding factor that contributed to the successful implementation of the
various programs and activities. Assigned personnel worked as a team in the execution of the planned
programs and activities. They exhausted all the means in order to prepare, acquire, and execute the program
or activity assigned to the given team.
HINDERING FACTORS
(Discuss major factors that caused delay or impeded implementation.)
The difficulties we’ve encountered in the implementation of the SAGIP-ARAL Program are the following:
Poor reading comprehension
Poor reading skills
Poor listening skills
Writing their own speech, essay, poem and even bits of explanation is a struggle. They would rather
copy information from the internet and pass it without even understanding anything from what they
have copied.
Students are not motivated to learn.
Students are not into reading anymore.
