1. Describe the nature of science.
- it is the process of finding facts, laws, principle, and concepts but the content does not represent science. Science is the quest for knowledge, not the knowledge itself. It is to investigate through experiences and then to logically explain the data gained through those experiences. 2. According to the science conceptual framework of the K to 12 Curriculum Guide, what is the big goal of the teaching of science? Explain. - The big goal of the teaching in science is with repertoire of competencies important in the world of work and in a knowledge-base society and scientifically, technologically, and environmentally iterate and productive member of society, this goal can provide students educate and provide a foundational knowledge for those who is willing and permeate every facet of modern life and hold the key to solving many of humanity`s most pressing current and future changes. 3. Examine the alignment of learning outcomes to standards-key stage, learning area standards. Lay the Grade level standards, key stage standards and learning area standards side by side. That way, you can easily see if they are aligned. * Kinder- concepts and skills are taught so that they can identify some of the specific ideas. * Grade 1- 2- finalized some designated TWG for both grades. * Grade 3- learners are able to describe the functions of the different parts of things that make up their surroundings. They were more curious about their surrounding they appreciate nature and practice health and safety measures. *Grade 4- in this investigation some changes occur in the properties of materials and they use this knowledge to help minimize waste at the community. *Grade 5- In this level they can decide whether materials are safe. * Grade 6- Learners can recognize that when mixed together materials may not form new one thus these materials may be recovered using the different techniques. 4. Give examples on how values inherent in science can be integrated in the teaching of science. Make use of appropriate competencies in the K to 12 Curriculum *Through innovative beneficial products, protects the environment, conserve resources, enhance integrity and wellness of the people. Evidence that scientific knowledge must be used for the welfare of all the citizens in this planet. This is scientific literacy. 5. With the use of the Science Curriculum Guide, illustrate spiral progression approach in teaching science by citing specific competencies in the K to 12 Curriculum Guide.
