    1. Pursuant to RM No. 492, s. 2022 Simultaneous Administration of Various Assessment


    Regionwide and in conformity with DM No. 173, s. 2019 (Hamon BawatBata Bumabasa
    0r3 Bs Initiative), this Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division, announces
    the conduct of EGRA and Phil- IRI Pre-Assessment starting on August31 — September 1
    2022 in all public schools which are to be administered by Communication Arts teachers
    in English, Filipino and MTB-MLE.

    2. The activity aims to determine the specific reading competence of learners with results
    to be used as guide for teachers and school heads in delivering relevant class instructions
    and in planning for appropriate interventions and activities to improve learning outcomes.

    3. Concerned teachers shall conduct the Group Screening Test (GST) in alt their classes
    during class schedules using the materials provided to them in SY 2021 — 2022.

    4. Please be guided by the following Enclosures:

    NOTE: For the Early Grades Reading Assessment (EGRA) reports, the templates
    previously used in SY 2021 — 2022 shall still be used. Submission of the Phil-IRl
    and EGRA results per school shall be done via Google Drive with the links to be
    shared in the official GCs of Communication Arts teachers.

    5. Expenses to be incurred in the reproduction of the assessment tools shall be charged to


    School Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses and other local funds subject to the
    usual accounting and auditing guidelines.

    6. Monitoring of the conduct of the Pre-Assessment shall be done by the Education


    Program Supervisors in charge and other OlD representatives.

    7. School Heads, and Master Teachers shall supervise and provide technical assistance to
    concerned teachers in the conduct of the activity and in the preparation and
    Implementation of the appropriate interventions.

    Further clarifications and queries may be coursed through Mr.s. Ede/wiza L. Cadag
    (EPS-Filipino), Mrs. Liezl 0. De Jesus (EPS-English) and Mr. Joel P. Mallari (MTB-MLE)
    through their FB Messenger accounts or the official GCs.

    9. Immediate and wide dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum is


    enjoined.
