This guide is a quick reference for the Flexi Cabinet Outdoor (FCOB) installation.
The Flexi Cabinet Outdoor (FCOB) can be installed vertically (on walls, poles and floors) and
horizontally (on floors).

with seals provided by Nokia. This is also recommended for indoor installations.

NOTE: When installing and maintaining modules inside of the FCOB make sure that there is a minimum front
clearance of 600 mm (23.62 in.) for door openings.
NOTE: Make sure that there is a minimum bottom clearance of 160 mm (6.30 in.) for cable routing for vertical and
horizontal installation.
NOTE: Make sure that there is a minimum side clearance of 200 mm (7.87 in.) for better cabinet’s performance.

NOTICE: The cabinet is heavy. Additional personnel or lifting equipement might be needed when the cabinet is
moved, unpacked, or lined up. In addition, follow any local regulations applicable to the installation.

1. Mark the mounting hole locations on the wall and drill four 18 mm (0.7 in.) diameter holes for the M12 expansion bolts.
2. Insert the M12 expansion bolts into holes in the wall.
NOTE: When applying the bolts, ensure the fixing methods correspond to the wall's properties.

5. Loosley fix the lower mounting bracket to the cabinet with three M5 screws.
6. Attach two connecting studs into the cabinet.

7. Attach the cabinet onto the wall using the lifting parts and two connecting studs.
8. Tighten the upper mounting bracket to the lifting part with three M5 screws.

9. Tighten the lower mounting bracket to the wall using two washers, spring washers and nuts dedicated to M12 expansion bolts.
10. Tighten the lower mounting bracket screws to the cabinet.
Check list
The FCOB screws are tighten to 4.3 Nm (3.17 ft- lb.).
The FCOB mounting brackets are secured to the wall.

NOTE: Only horizontal installations are possible for stacked FCOBs. A maximum of two FCOBs can be stacked. Before

1. Remove the four M5 screws and pull out the dummy casing.
2. Loosen the small plate middle M4 screw and remove the side M4 screw.
3. Rotate the small plate by 90 degrees.
4. Fix the small plate side M4 screw and tighten the middle M4 screw.
5. Install the FYGE into the dummy casing with three M5x35 screws.
6. Reinsert and reinstall the dummy casing with FYGE into the FCOB using four M5 screws.
7. Connect the power cables between the PDU and the FYGE.
Check list
The small plate position is changed.
The FYGE is secured to the dummy casing.
The dummy casing screws are tighten to 4.3 Nm (3.17 ft- lb.).

The FSIH is inserted inside of the cabinet using the left slots.
The FSIH is secured to the cabinet.
The screws are tighten to 4.3 Nm (3.17 ft- lb.).

1. Cut off the grounding and power cables IP boot using scissors.
NOTE: Use a single cut to ensure a clean cut surface.
2. Route the grounding cable and the power cables through the
cable holes.
3. Prepare the power cables.
NOTE: It is recommended to strip 18 mm of the power
cable.

A minimum of 200 mm (7.87 in.) of outdoor jacket is left for optical cables inside of the cabinet.
Door lock tongue does not interfere with cables.
