Linear programming is a form of mathematical modelling. We can use linear programming to
modelling some problems such as scientist bussiness and economists.

Before learn more about linear programming, you have to complitely understand about linear
inequalities and system of linear inequalities.
1. Linear Inequalities
Pay attention to these following forms:
x +2 y ≥ 6
x−4 y ≤ 8
3 x+ y< 0
Then, answer these following questions:
a. Does every inequalitie have 2 variables?
b. Does every variable to the power of one?
c. Based on question number 1 and 2, explain what does “linear inequalities” mean!

2. System of linear inequalities

Pay attention to these following systems of linear inequalities:
a. {
x+ y< 2
x−2 y ≥ 4

{
3 x+ y ≤4
b. x−4 y< 8
x ≥2
Then, answer these following questions:
1. Does every system of linear inequalities have 2 variables?
2. Does every variable in system of linear inequalities is same?
3. Based on question number 1 and 2, explain what does “system of linear inequalities”
mean!
