1. Singing a song “One Two Three Four Five Once I caught a Fish Alive”
2. Drill
Show to the class pictures of objects and let them tell the number of objects in the
picture.
3. Review
Show to the class the different money denominations. Let the children answer the
presented combination.
B.
1. Motivation:
Ask the children: Do you love to play? What do you play? What do you use when you
play? Why do you love playing?
2. Presentation:
This morning we are going to learn how to put together things or combining/joining
sets. Let’s learn the process of addition.
*Show to them a short power point presentation of a problem story.
Ronald loves to play marbles. He play this with his friend, Nomer.
Ronald has 5 marbles. Nomer has 4 marbles. How many marbles they
have altogether?
Show to them through power point presentation on how to add the marbles from
Ronald and Nomer.
3. Discussion
Ask questions about the problem story that could lead the pupils in the idea of putting
together or combining sets through addition.
Call two pupils that will act as Ronald and Nomer. Show to the class how they will
join the marbles together.
4. Generalization:
What do you call the process of joining or combining sets?

1. Fixing Skills
Show to them illustrations and give them direction how to do it.
*Put them together. Draw the new group and write the number sentence.
