OBJECTIVE To introduce flagship fitness bands at lower cost and
compete with other companies in this market. To
produce budgetary bands under Rs3000 using
Samsung’s software technology and Belkin’s hardware
and other raw materials.

BUSINESS PLAN
Samsung and Belkin will invest in this joint venture to set up manufacturing factories
* in different parts of the world to produce fitness bands. Samsung and Belkin will share
51% and 49% profit. This joint venture will help both the brands in increasing their
reputation in the market.

BUSINESS STRATEGY
The target audience would be 18-40
* The market plan would be to spread awareness of new fitness bands using different
marketing strategies and find new ways to improve brands and services.
MERGER & ACQUISITION
Puma observed a decrease in the sale of the brand’s
OBJECTIVE online product PumaTrac app. Puma then decided to
invest more in modern core technologies so that
Athletes and Tech-savvy people keep track of their
health. Fitbit is the premium brand in the wearable
technology industry and has long been one of the best
fitness trackers, but it lacks the coolness and
convenience of a bona fide smartwatch.
This M&A will benefit global retailers, including puma
and Fitbit, to come with a new product globally.

ALLIANCE
OBJECTIVE
To share marketing strategies and market reach to offer a
new collection of summer wear and introduce new home
decors.
PURPOSE
Zara is well known for its fabric quality and Chumbak for its
quirky prints; in this collaborative alliance, we'll be
introducing a clothing line that will bring attention. Zara can
introduce its home decor in India with Chumbak's experience
in the lifestyle sector.
The primary goal of this alliance would be to strengthen its
market position and accomplish business growth. Zara can
reach out to the Indian market and Chumbak on a global
scale. This alliance would improve both of their financial
situations. This collaboration will broaden their customer
base while also sharing risks and costs.
ALEXANDER WANG X H & M
Both the brands came into an alliance with the Alexander Wang exclusively designing
shoes for a limited period showcasing at the line of stores of H & M for a limited period
of time. The main objective is to support each other’s brand positioning and making the
new generation of potential customers aware about the brand name and the products of
Alexander Wang.
CONGLOMERATE
IndiGo is one of the leading domestic
airlines in India.
IndiGo aims to diversify its company
stepping foot into the hospitality
business like Cruise Travel aka Indiwaves,
Indigo Accommodations, and Indi Café by
Indigo.

When the market for IndiGo Airlines is weak, they will have the subsidiaries, and it will
help the company diversify its revenue stream.
Reduce market risk, strengthening other parts of the business to drive profit margins
until the market wind changes and IndiGo Airlines starts improving.
